I would spend the first couple of hours trying to decide what to do, then give up and spend the rest of the time sitting around listening to upbeat songs about death
There won’t be an alien invasion
There will be no alien invasion unless its reported by the BBC
Have a couple of pints of Guinness if it was before 10PM

But you only have a few hours.
I'd approach the aliens, politely explain to them who Donald Trump and Boris Johnson are, what COVID-19 is and also outline that I have some unfinished slow cooked gammon in my fridge that I have been saving, and I expect they would decide to leave.
Afternoon Diafol.
To answer your question, I’d probably go to the house I was raised in (family still live there) hunker down with plenty of alcohol and sit it out.
I doubt any aliens would find us as we would be so remote.
Probably watch a dvd of our treble season too. Yes we have electricity

Missed that. Very good.
How was the interview?
We are so arrogant to assume that the aliens consider us to be the most important species on earth. They may be fish or at least live in water and they have come to our planet as we have an abundance of water. It could also be an invasive species of plant, spreading its seed throughout the universe.
Octopuses are very intelligent, who is to say they haven't predicted this and are already preparing. Then it's them who defend our planet while we are hiding in caves somewhere and waaanking.

Might seem a bit random, but what do you think about living in a remote location? Did you grow up there?

I grew up very remote, loved it. So much freedom as a kid. Used to cycle miles to meet up with friends, and parents never seemed to worry. I’m semi rural now, so a bit more convenient for commute etc, but still the privacy of no real neighbours.
I’ll probably go back to being a bit more remote when I finish working tbh (long time to go yet though).
I certainly couldn’t live in a city, and would probably struggle in a town/village. It’s what you grew up with I suppose.
You thinking of moving somewhere more remote?
babyen ansikt snikmorder (U9094)
Interesting
I am, yeh. I live in a fairly urban area now with quite a lot of housing in close proximity.
Am in a fortunate enough position to be looking at buying a bigger place in the next 5 years and I really like the idea of being more remote. May sound like an old man, but I just love the peace and quiet.
Issue is we have a little boy and I worry that it wouldn't be great for him. I also wonder how much of it sounds lovely but the inability to walk anywhere etc. might be a pain once we actually move.
Winston.
Depends how “remote” is remote I suppose.
Where I lived, we were about 15 minutes to nearest town, but the roads to get there were good.
With most families having cars in the area (and it is a must as public transport is poor, buses etc), it wasn’t a problem to take kids to meet friends, take the to football practice etc. You just need to be a little more organised, and ensure you have a good work life balance. Working online is better in remote areas now too. Where I grew up has excellent internet connectivity, despite being so remote.
1) What if it turns out the aliens only came here for the slate - their whole civilisation depends on securing a supply of slate? That would be ironic, wouldn't it?
2) If there was an alien invasion this afternoon, or indeed if the four horsemen of the apocalypse descended from the clouds, I think I'd pretty much just think, "Yeah, this is so 2020." In a way, if it didn't culminate in a cataclysmic event, you'd feel as though the 2020 story arc had cheated you. It would be like the moment in season 2 of Lost when you realised they were making it up as they went along.

15 minutes from a town is luxury. It's an interesting question that I often ask myself, just where exactly is remote? Then it ends up being down the back of the couch.
