The reason he missed the Bayern game was a bit fishy. ‘Respiratory illness’. But not Covid. Or any injury that could derail interest. I didn’t think they’d sell with only days to find a replacement. Perhaps we’re waiting on Sancho to kick up a stink and force a move. Regardless of the fee we’ll imo be a better side with him than not so if we have ambitions to push on we need to just bite the bullet and pay. We may never have a better chance to get him.

Maybe if it was breaking news. From what I read they are reporting is as having happened earlier in the week, so maybe he has just got the info and thinks its too late to do an article? Or maybe it will be fleshed out into and article later. Or maybe he/they have had enough of the saga/don't think that there is enough meat on the bones of the story? Its not like our pursuit of Sancho is a new revelation.
If our season really does go bad it is going to be hard for Ed to sack Ole given, with under a week to go, his apparent gross failure to build on last seasons gains.
