Great player that just needed time to adapt. Showed enough glimpses of what he could bring to warrant people showing faith in him.

Keep going Ndombele

Fair play Don

We all knew there was a player in there. I think some of us were more willing to give him time because we saw what a waste it would be to let him go elsewhere and blossom there instead of at Spurs. Good on the player for knuckling down as well.

Also well done to Mourinho. His high-risk tough love tactic appears to be working. Credit where credit is due.

Don’t think i ever said he’s a s** footballer mate. I always said “talented” but I felt his application and drive was horrendous last season and the manager clearly thought so to. He’s bucked his ideas up though and long may it continue. Well done Tanguy

100% mate, could of gone either way, but I think Ndombele realises he needed to improve his attitude and fair play, looks like he has done

I will not disrespect him until further notice. Something seems to have clicked with him and we will only reap the benefits. Long may he continue to improve.

I will hold my hand up Don, and say I got it wrong with Ndombele, thought he was a complete waste of time, but he seems to be turning it all around. The good thing is he is now playing 90 minute games, when he could barely put in five minute cameos.

He won`t play Thursday, but I suspect he will start against United on Sunday. He is gradually helping Spurs to finally shape their midfield properly.

Hopefully Jose can work his magic on Dele as well, because we know he has some serious talent, just needs to knuckle down again, and start getting back to playing football again.

I think it’s a lesson we all can learn from tbh. We need to let players settle in and find a rhythm before we go out and criticise them to much especially young guys coming from abroad as there’s a huge list of players who was poor then turned it around after a while.

Obviously you can say if they had a bad game etc though.

I’ve seen people saying bad stuff about Doherty & Højbjerg and how we made a mistake buying them after 2 games ffs,

posted on 30/9/20

Would be huge for Spurs if you start getting performances out of him.

Totally agree. I read through the match thread yday and noticed Gedson got abit of stick. Considering it was his first start for us in yonks some posters were writing him off. It seems Tanganga had a dodgy first half too but fairplay to the both and I hope we see more of them throughout the season.

Gedson is young and could turn out to be a great player.

The difference with him though is knowing he wont be with us beyond next summer and that its confusing to know why he is here in the first place and what he brings.

no but he looked a bit lost

Dele won't ever perform for Jose simply because he plays a role Jose deems a luxury.

Can see dele leaving I just hope he picks a team with a system that suits his playstyle.

It always happens. Luka Modric looked lost and too little to play in the EPL until about March of his first season, then it suddenly all came together and he never looked back. And that's a rare player we signed well before the window even opened, let alone deadline day so he had a full pre-season etc and a summer to move and settle in London.

What the amazon program highlighted is that transfers are crazy. One moment you are living and playing in one country, the next day you're moving to another city another country and having to move house and then a couple days later you're in the squad to play. It all happens so fast.

Gedson I personally just don’t know what sort of player he is. Not really that good on the ball but not very good at breaking up play.

For me this season his role is to fill a space allowing Skipp to go out on loan who is a better player.

Cannot see the loan being made permanent.

Seems to be a bit of a box to box. Is he / can he be better than Sissoko. Who..

I thought was facking dreadful last night. Hiding from possession / doing his pointing to other players. We see that alot from him, but I thought his workrate was atrocious too. Countless times I saw him let runners go and wasn't busting a gut to get to players. Ndombele worked harder than him defensively.

Literally the only reason I'd keep Sissoko now is to keep Ndombele happy and settled as they seem good mates.

I think we all want to be proved wrong on the players/managers we doubt

I'm a huge Ndombele fan and am pleased to see his improvement. There's plenty more to come.

I'm seeing some positives with the way we're playing now. Very excited to see a regular midfield of Ndombele, GLC and Hoijbjerg.

I think like with all players, they need game time. Gedson just aint getting a lot at the moment.

posted on 30/9/20

Gedson isn't physical enough for box to box (in the Prem anyway), not technical enough to be an advanced playmaker. Doesn't seem to have the strength for a defensive role either. Bit of a jack of all trades. Probably why he's ended up shoved out to other random positions.

Yeah, Dele can take his ball wasting style elsewhere. Spurs need start thinking like the big teams do. Pep would not tolerate his wastefuless why should Mourinho who has worked with some of the best players in the world. He knows a dud when he sees one.
