Not sure whether it’s by fluke or judgement, but the signing of Coady has been inspired. Hindsight maybe. But players develop, and boy, has he done that. I like the way that he states his pride for Wolves, and acknowledges Wolves for his progress.

Doc misses the decisive penalty to put Ireland out

But Connor is leader of the pack, for Wolves and England ! Allez Allez Allez !
Apparently he scored at Crawley which I went to but don’t recall

Great he scored but even more importantly for him, 2 caps, 2 clean sheets

Best England captain since Billy Wright! Wonder if they will name a pub after him too

Strange to see Coady score one, and go close in the first half with probably an easier chance. At Wolves he never goes forward for free kicks and corners. Maybe that will change now

Coady had more shots last night than he has had in his last 156 Wolves matches combined

Great moment for Coady and I'm really please for him. That smile on his face after he scored was fantastic. What you want to see from someone playing for their country.

I did turn that game off after 30 minutes though. I found it pretty poor to watch and Wales put out a really poor side.

Nuno doesnt allow him to cross the half way line, maybe he'll be allowed up for set pieces in future?

I only caught the last couple of minutes of the game last night but great to see him getting the praise he deserved. Southgate has clearly been impressed with what he's brought to the squad as a player, a leader and an example to the some of the younger players who are clearly in need of some guidance!

I expect we'll see a different line up against Belgium but I hope they stick with the back three, it suits the players he has in the squad, but suspect last night may have been a bluff to get Martinez thinking, we'll see.

Southgate has a choice to make on formation but what Coady has achieved is that if England play 3 at the back he is an automatic choice. And I can’t think they would find anyone better to be captain

Yeah, Coady's biggest appeal would be his leadership for sure.

Would assume Southgate has only tried the three at the back mainly to accommodate Coady and give an alternate option to change things up. Last night was a B international in reality but you would think Southgate will try the system again with the first team and Coady at some stage soon.

Reading that Dendoncker was voted man of the match for Belgium in their game against Ivory Coast this week. Not only do Wolves now have a high number of internationals but the majority are making a real impact for their countries

All matches not selected for normal tv coverage will now be shown as pay per view at £14.95 a game. Wolves next two games against Leeds and Newcastle were selected by sky anyway. But our game against Palace at the end of the month will be pay to view on the Friday evening
