I think the plan is he does 20 games and then Traore comes in January, takes the baton and does the next 20 🕺🏼
From what I have seen of him, he seems like an intelligent footballer. More of a Mata type (but more mobile), rather than a Dan James type.
Think an issue is we need to register players today for the CL, so any domestic signings would only be eligible for domestic ties.

I really want to see them both in the side without compromising defensive securityin midfield. Pogba, I'm afraid to say, I'd be prepared to bench, at least for now. The diamond you've got on another thread might work, given that our forwards have pace and are comfortable in wide areas and, like you say, Telles seems pretty attack-minded.

We'll see. Who knows? A formation may emerge that suits all the players.We played an asymmetrical formation in the 2008 CL Final with Hargreaves wide right so something similar to that perhaps?

If all was well with our first XI and squad, it would be a luxury to have to decide between Bruno and Donny. But it seems almost like we looked at our best outfield player and decided to make our best summer signing someone who played in the same position.
I doubt Ole will ever play this way, but here’s a potential solution...

Can play inside right and left and as an AM/ten.
Would be a good medium term replacement for Mata, IMO.
I like the look of Brooks as a versatile and intelligent player who can strengthen our most exposed RW position while adding strength in depth across other parts of the squad.
Issues for me now are around making space for him the squad. We already need to cut two senior players from the squad for registration purposes. Three if we add another player. Also, if he's a utility creative player, we still have Mata and Lingard in the squad, and VDB is likely to be front of the queue for some of those positions.

I think we need at least two of Rashford, Martial and Greenwood on the pitch when they're all available. I couldn't see anyone of them flourishing in the role you've got Martial in there and the pace/movement/interplay between them was really promising at times after lockdown.

There was some talk though that Leeds were interested, again, in james, but that "the club" - and it was implied that this meant member of the board, rather than the manager/coaches - did not want to give up on him just yet.
may be cobblers, but would be surprised to see james go now, and mata has started the season well enough. which just leaves young jesse...
