just me being paranoid about an aggressive DM back up for Hojbjerg. Winks and Sissoko arent capable
Fair enough. A committed, on form Danny Rose could totally do a job there. These days? Na. I don't think he'd want it anyway.
As long as it's not a Winks - Sissoko pivot too often we'll be alright.
I like winks but he's been told to play a role he isnt very good at. He should be more advanced covering lo celso and Ndombele roles rather than Hojbjerg, sissoko is closest to Højbjerg cover and he isnt good enough in that role either, in some games we have seen it can be good to have the double pivot of Højbjerg and Sissoko because Sissoko offers more physicality than Winks.
Winks is a good squad player of used right and Sissoko can't have much longer at the club surely, new DM is needed for sure but hopefully Skipp can step up next season or could benefit from another loan.
As for Rose he is finished at this level, an injury ruined him and he needs to lower his standards and be released from the club. Jealously of Walker has clouded his mind for too long now, yes they were on an equal level but while Walker was able to kick on still, Rose couldn't do the business anymore for us and was making costly mistakes every game. Rose could never be a DM, Poch seemed to sometimes have him CM sometimes which was amusing, where he looked completely lost. Foyth was a legitimate option at DM but that ship sailed.

Rose does not realize how far his stock has fallen, he still thinks he is Spurs` best left back and good enough for AC Milan.
Once upon a time he was top class, but injuries and attitude changed all that. All those interviews about `knowing his worth` and `googling his new team mates` along with the Amazon footage, just made people realize what a plum he is.
I don`t buy all those alleged mental health issues either, for me he is a jealous individual with a chip on his shoulder, when his pal Walker tripled his wages by moving to £ity, Rose was green with envy.
Rose has been a good servant over many years, but he is no longer good enough (at LB or DM) and appears to be a bad influence around the dressing room.
If he had any sense, he would move on asap as he still something to offer to a club with lower ambitions than Spurs, but maybe he is happy just to sit picking up his 60K a week for another year.

If my memory serves me right he was moaning about only being on 65k a week around the time Walker went to City.
Its never a good look when a Prem player claims they aren't paid enough and is obviously going to make the majority of the English workforce think fack off you twatt.

I can see this happening with a clause that he cant join a prem side.
Honestly training him as DM as cover would be a decent shout, but it seems like his time with us is done.
Iirc didn’t poch use him a few times as a CM?
