Always wear a mask in a shop, although I think it is pointless.
Have been to an after-pub drink at a mates house with 7 others - but we all work together up to 72 hours a week so don't see it as a risk.

Nothing wrong with that imo.
I adhere to them as much as I can. I hardly do anything social anymore - last week I went to a pub for the first time since March - so I actually have few opportunities to break the rules. I wear a mask in the supermarket and don't see family or anyone else.
I fear this is going to go on for a long, long time, so while I understand the need for measures and restrictions to get us through this winter, we're going to have to come up with something better in the long term.
I try my best to follow the rules, they’re not really that hard. I don’t understand why people have problems wearing a mask, just make sure you find one that fits and they’re completely fine.
Couple times have met family or friends that were 1 or 2 more than the 6 limit. Went to the beach once in lockdown, got there really early hoping to avoid crowds which we did then all of a sudden it got packed and we quickly left. During lockdown if I ever needed to socialise I would meet a couple friends in the park and kept our distance, the weather helped a lot, gonna be a lot harder during winter.
Not perfect but I follow them pretty closely. When I’m outdoors shops restaurants I definitely wear a mask and shout at people that don’t.
Didn’t really go to pubs that much once reopened, the odd nightclub on occasion but a lot less than usual.
The weather up until now has been a big help tbf as I have a nice garden so have been able to just sit in that with some friends, music and beers.
November - February sheeeesh
I have been trying to break the rules for ages but I don't know enough people that I'd like to spend time with indoors at the same time. Max 1 or 2 friends at once. Also the rule of having to go out for dinner and to the pub has been difficult because I like to cook at home and beer is a lot cheaper from the supermarket. So that has been a tough rule to follow.
Like most of you guys and I guess our restrictions are very similar wearing a mask isn’t difficult.
The only real restriction to me is not being able to go in my local for a pint. And that is by my choice. I could if I wanted but don’t feel safe in doing so.
The other week my Mrs and I were at an outside bar having lunch and were amazed at the amount of people on the inside bar not wearing masks.
We do live amongst a lot of Trumps dimwits mind.
Follow the rules as best as I can, 100 % with mask. Wash my hands regularly and carry hand gel. Avoid others where possible. Couldn’t see my elderly parents in North Wales between Feb and August, which they found hard.
The rules are bloody stupid at times, so a person who lives in Conwy, N Wales where the Covid rate is 30/100K of population can’t travel more than 5miles except for work but someone from Liverpool (rate 600+/100K) can go there for a weeks holiday. Effing madness
I don’t believe I have broken any of the rules.

Why do you think its pointless?
I haven't actively and consciously adhered to the rules beyond masks and that sort of thing, but rather by default...
Rarely go to the pub and it's difficult these days to get more than 3 or 4 mates together at one time due to everyone's work and family commitments anyway. Likewise with my own family, we all live in different parts of the country so don't often congregate beyond 5 or 6 people at a time.
So not much has really changed day to day for either me or the missus.

You don’t have to stay within 5 miles in Conwy (or any other county in lockdown restrictions in Wales). That was ended at the end of July. Although they suggest you should travel as little as possible.

It’s not much better here VC. Tesco is rife with idiots not wearing masks and even joking about COVID-19. Builders mostly. I’m told the tube isn’t much better but I don’t use it thankfully.
Wales considering another National Lockdown. What this actually means remains to be seen.
There aren't really too many rules I'd be in danger of breaking. I had 7 round for a BBQ a couple of months ago so that's one.
Although if the rules in my area were changed to Liverpool level I dont think it would deter me. Ie I'm heading to Norfolk this weekend, if they said tomorrow you can't stay overnight in Norfolk it's not going to stop me heading there.
I'm at the stage where I'll manage things how I see fit.
If you don't wear a mask at our Tesco the bouncers at the door wont let you in.

As oppose to Biden dimwit minds?
I've been trying to follow the science as much as possible, rather than government advice which has clearly been inconsistent and driven more with one eye on the economic impact of Covid and the other on how their communications are playing out politically. This means I'm sometimes being more cautious than government, and occasionally less. We ate out a few times when the infection levels were low during the summer but stopped as they started rising locally. My business shifted to work from home when we had to, but stayed that way when the government urged us to return to the office, and of course the government is now telling us we should be at home if we can. But there have been a few times when government advice has said "you can't gather in this number (unless you're doing it for this reason) " and I've broken the rules by socialising while not shooting grouse or whatever.
I’ve been on the tube a few times (not at rush hour), it’s quite depressing how many don’t wear a mask or wear them as chin diapers.
How hard can it be to enforce on the spot fines for people not wearing one?

I agree.
I’m sceptical that some restrictions are necessary but it’s not difficult to wear them in shops or public transport.
The term “global pandemic” kinda freaks me out in an apocalyptic end of the world sort of way, so yes, I’m going around with an abundance of caution.
Hand washing, masks, distancing, no guests inside my house and certainly not going into anyone else’s.
I’ve had the odd pint outdoors but not much else.
Only had regular contact with the woman next door and her two kids. A social circle of 6 people since wifefrom tested positive in March
So it's all the OPs fault the virus is on the rise over here
Only joking. I try to follow the rules. Haven't been to any gatherings. Went for a few pints when we could.
Working from home so no issue with work.
It's going to be a long winter though

I'm in a high risk group so really have no choice but to follow the rules religiously.
