People forget that as well as having poor games, Kiko has had some very good games for us as well. Clearly Bielsa rates him or he would have been replaced.

----------------------------------------------------------------------Your right. He made a quality save against Rotherham when he first joined. He also played well in that one-off appearance end of last season. The bit in between has been a car crash

More complete bull. Kiko and the defence had comes problems in his first half season. He was brilliant last season until suspended, he did his time, no one has heard a squeak, he has not caused any waves, and he is available to the boss, who clearly wants him here.

Meslier is doing well, but his distribution needs to be looked at. Too many balls out are terrible, but we know that must be a focus issue as we know he can do it really well like at Arsenal

Some people just like to have a go for some reason, when they know sweet FA about players or football

Meslier's distribution is coming under fire on here but I think people are making those judgements on the basis of the game against Man City. Guardiola targeted Meslier with a very high press so he didn't have the safe option for the short pass to defenders or Phillips and was forced to try and play it long to the wings. Otherwise he seems to have pretty good feet.

It's true that if he gets injured, we're in the scheisse unless Caprile steps up as Meslier has done.

Caprile won't get an opportunity because we still have Casilla. It's just astonishing that he is touted for his "leadership" when he has set such a poor example - getting banned for the crucial eight games in the promotion run-in wasn't clever. On top of that, he doesn't seem a particularly safe pair of hands and I didn't notice that his distribution is any better than Meslier's.

However, I also believe in the principle of the possibility of rehabilitation, so if Bielsa is happy playing him, then we must accept that. If it was down to me he'd be gone already, whatever the cost. He's really lucky Bielsa is such a loyal coach.

Who to replace him? No idea. Reckon we've done with the spending for this season already - and no doubt we'll get stung for the Big Kev fiasco. No dosh for a new gk so we're stuck with Casilla. I can only hope Caprile gets a chance to shine this season and this will be Casilla's last for us.

He’s back! Attention seeking and proving beyond doubt that he knows nothing about football.

Meme’s long lost brother.
