The game was made harder than it should have by a freak goal and penalty miss.
Apart from wilsons chance, they didn't create anything really
United were comfortably all game
Have to say, fair play to Mata. I thought he was done, but when he's been given the chance this season he has consistently played well. Thought him and the impressive VDB looked on the same wavelength and that's not the first time either
Good summary Robb.
Mata, McT and Rashford the best players on the pitch today for me.
But a solid team performance. Decent almost all the way through.

Honestly, when their goal went in I just started laughing. Thought it was going to be one of those days, and typical of the last like, 3 years of United to lose to that.

Decent performance and mata played well, but the likes of newcastle should be his limit this season, he hasn't got the legs against the better teams

To be fair dea gear hasn't done anything wrong this season, dont understand why people are still putting Henderson in ahead of him when they do their chosen line ups

Hopefully Ole realises that this team needs more than two in midfield for the rest of the season. Didn't we have five on in the end?
I quite like the idea of playing a midfielder wide right at present. Intelligent footballers like Mata, Bruno and VDB should be able to slot in there in this setup quite easily.
All in all a very pleasing performance I thought.

It was frustrating he didn’t bring on Mata against Sevilla before the 87th minute as he looked very good against Copenhagen the game before. Might have made the difference.

I been asking for all our MF to be on the pitch and the last 10 minutes showed what can happen
Always said mata was brilliant and used the ball and if he had people on his wavelength he isn't "slow"
Great save by ddg but he was always great at those, has other issues
Rashford shows why we need a striker he was poor but hey good stats

Full of character, grit and guile but let's keep working and not rest on our laurels.
That defence will always get r. Aped by decent sides though.

I'm with you. He had an error that was more the defence's fault for SPAIN in midweek and there were calls for him to be dropped. But he's been good for United this season and deserves to keep the jersey

Wasn't quite what I've been suggesting but very close to it.
I would like to see a back 3, then a 2 of mct/fred with a 3 of Bruno Pogba dvb and the 2 forwards
It's the best of the squad we have.
Good performance.
We were first to every ball, which is as it should be but great to see as it’s not always been the way recently.
Mata, McT, Rash and Bruno all great. Happy for slab, needed to catch a break.
The Fred - McT axis was the crux of our good run last year. Might not be the most popular but I still feel it’s our best midfield in the 4-2-3-1 Ole wants to play.
