James was a disgrace at times today. Crossed it to no one many times or out of play, attempted a weak shot when he had 2 free on the left to score easily.
I am just hoping we keep going like we did today.
It was a miracle we finished 3rd last season considering how many chances we missed last season.
Better game from James, but Mata was class - no doubt about that.
I thought James did OK today. Ran at them and kept the ball quite well. Shooting not great but bit unfair to slag him off tonight IMO.

Our worst players were Lindelof, Shaw and Fred and neither of them were drastic.
Mata is genuinely class, and hugely under-rated & under used.
But to pick out James in a game in a game in which he CONSISTENTLY played well makes you just another moron.
End product not great but that was James’ best game for us in quite a while
All Red Indian had to do was write an article about how well Mata played and we’d all agree and a good article could finally be added to his CV.
Somehow he managed to bungle it

Surely that makes finishing 3rd a disaster? Cos you had enough chances to win the league the way you make it sound.

I’m a big James critic. I don’t think he’s good enough however if he has more days likes he had today he will begin to win me around.
