Prob loads of things theres a lot of liverpool fans on here who dont like negativity or even diff opinions and actively avoid our match threads because of it. Infact im less active there cause im one of them so if theyre happier without me ill use live footy thread or none.

Also people outside liverpool fans prob dont comment there like they do utds cos they prob get banned but atleast not perma banned like spurs one..

I’m going to take a guess here but maybe Man Utd have a more active JA606 community?

Or we have fewer fans that like the live threads?

Tbh I’m not sure but I’m also slightly intrigued as to why you’re asking MU52, you think the Liverpool threads should have more comments? Or just proud of the number of Utd fans commenting?

JA match threads is an after thought. I'm in too many WhatsApp groups with friends and family to login to match thread and repeat the same comments.

Congratulations on having loads of comments 👏

Timing of games make a big difference. For some reason, many avoid early kick-off games. I tend to avoid tense games or make fewer comments like derbies and big matches and just watch the game unless you're winning comfortably.

Haha...should have done that 1000 times.

What it means is, a lot of Man U fans streamed the game on their laptops and had a JA606 window ready to type on.

(Note I didn’t say illegally streamed)

Interestingly I’d say the other way around. The games I steam I don’t tend to comment on ja, but the ones that are on the TV I usually comment on match threads.

Good question OP.

When big clubs are in turmoil they tend to have very lively threads. We know from experience.

Calm threads are for currently successful teams. If United ever stop being crap and come good again, you'll understand how it works.

Man Utd have a younger fan base of twenty somethings.

Some interesting answers, I certainly think KO time has a bearing, plus I think we ban less.

Naby, no not proud of our numbers, especially as I often don't contribute.
It was that if you had asked me in advance yesterday who would have most I'd have guessed you. Wrong again.

I'm too focused on the match to bother commenting.

I tend to stay away from match threads as I don't find the constant whining enjoyable or the scapegoating of players who are blamed simply because of who they are, rather than what actually happened. I'm sure many others are the same.

Well I can only speak personally but at 12:30pm I was half watching the football and half entertaining the kids so little opportunity for live threads. At 8pm the kids were in bed (well, almost) and I could sit down with a drink.

I doubt I’m alone in that so it’s the most probable explanation. Although some of our more regular posters don’t actually use the live match threads all that much so general ja606 use doesn’t always translate into match thread contributions.

... and United probably do have twice as many fans than Liverpool have out there in the real World.

Actually United have far more supporters/fans than Liverpool - and have done since the dreadful events of 1958.

Manchester United Football Club are among the top three sports clubs on the globe.

Liverpool just happened to have done okay for the second best team in Lancashire, but they still have a lot less supporters/fans
