For anyone who's stream is 5 minutes behind, I'd turn off now and avoid the disappointment.

One day we may look to replace Vardy...... When he is in a wheel chair? Bad recruiting..... Well done Villa.
Like Leicester nearly went down to top of the league!

Let’s hope Vardy is on the Mendy 😊

Just not good enough
It's not the young players as much the players who are not good enough for this level

Back to the usual boring football after a decent start to the season. The last 2 have looked very much like the performances at the back end of last season. We do have injuries but that was shocking.

posted on 18/10/20

No strength in depth. No creativity. No options up front. Issues that should have been solved in the transfer window but weren't for...reasons, I guess.

Didn't deserve much. At least Little Wes sounds like another real talent. And I'm still £15 in pocket.

Yes. Very worrying.

Neither team deserved 3 points in that - both cancelled each other out. I am not really as annoyed as some

The chances of replacing one of the best strikers we’ve had and one of the best strikers in Europe in recent years is unlikely. It would be unlikely for an elite club let alone Leicester so I think we simply need to get that out of our heads.

Wes and Foxello
Both correctly stating what for us is obvious

To be honest, Slimani and Iheanacho should be ample cover for 1 position.

Just goes to show how good Vardy is to score so many goals with the limited chances we create.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Iheanacho doesn't feel like he will ever be good enough to replace Vardy. He's a decent support striker if we play 2 up front but I just don't see him ever having the intelligence or quality to lead the line. Slim is barely a viable Plan D, never mind Plan B. No succession plan for Vardy and it shows.

Granted, we could have had Aguero up front tonight and it wouldn't have made a huge difference.

Understand that but KP haven't been putting significant funds into the club for a few years now. We are largely self-sufficient, hence the one large sale per summer policy. It's just a shame that we didn't prioritise bringing in a young, pacy striker who could deputise for Vardy.

I think your final point is the important one Foxello. It’s hard to criticise either striker when there is absolutely zero creativity behind them.

Of course neither player is as good as Vardy, but not many are. Are they competent as backup striker 1 and 2, yes. But not if we give them zero service.

Not just the striker that’s the problem in this team. Vardy is irreplaceable. We need to find a way of playing that doesn’t rely on his ability alone.

I have to say - I thought Kasper should have saved that shot as well

Keep the faith
It's not just replacing vardy,
Strikers, good ones are like hens teeth,

It's alright brendan wanting young players but they have to be of standard,
Little wez for 19yrs looked excellent today, may be different against pool or Man City

1st team Europe and top 8 prem
Then subs should fill any gaps or injuries
Rest squad and half the team,, teams 10th to 20th and hold there own against them, not necessarily best them

Gap in our squad is to wide

Players coming in are making the same mistakes every time,

I said the same thing, he's often beating by long range efforts, a clear weakness.

Brendan must also take some blame tonight, leaving Perez on, bringing Hamza on when drawing at home to Aston Villa???

Like 99% of clubs, we are no where near self-sufficient. We made a 20million last the season before last, and have forked out 10s of millions for a new training ground. I imagine that loss will significantly increase when we review the finances next year for the past tax year. We can moan about things, but the investment from King Power is not one of them.

But I’m not really sure what we are expecting?

The gap in our squad is wide because our first 11 has improved. To be able to have a top 6 squad for a team like Leicester is near impossible.

IMO, we have the second best right back in the league, two of the best CMs and potentially another top class full back in Castagne. We have the best defensive midfielder in the league, one of the best attacking midfielders in the league and one of the best strikers in the league.

Yes, we’ve been hit by injuries which has highlighted our depth but come on - what is it we are expecting!? To have top 6 quality cover in all positions? It isn’t going to happen - what top class players are we going to be able to afford who would be willing to come in and potentially be squad players at a club which isn’t even in the champions league and doesn’t have the financial clout or prestige in comparison to the ‘big’ clubs. I think we need to just reflect a little and accept that when situations like this happen (with regard to injuries) , we just need to take it on the chin and count ourselves lucky. We are categorically building as a club and a team - sometimes it just takes a minute to step back and count to ten to realise it

Spurs were the same for 3/4yrs whilst there new stadium was built

The new training ground certainly is not cheep,
Add in no gate money and internal travel
Probably down 80%
All effects the purse strings

Can see Ricardo or Söyüncü
Being sold in the summer,
