Harping back to yesterday`s draw

The positive from yesterday is that José will now realise what we are really like and know that he can't relax, even at 3 nil up with 10 mins remaining.

I think the reason why this one stands out more from the others you mention is that this was 3 goals up with 8 minutes to play.
When that Lanzini strike hit the top corner it was easily one of the worst moments of my spurs supporting life (35ish years)
The boys at the back need to hang their heads in shame... I include the ball-watching Lucas Moura when the 2nd goal went in.... he just let their right back in on a very easy/defendable overlap.

Yet letting three goals in eight minutes was a joke. I had a decent bet on Spurs yesterday, fortunately I had the sense to cash it out at 2-0.

That’s the only positive. Jose will know to just go for the kill now.4-0 up? Who cares. Just keep attacking. Go for 6 or 7. I don’t want to see that pathetic capitulation ever again.

posted on 19/10/20

i think the opposite Don.
That has probably made Jose think that he needs to shore things up even more when we are next 3 up... expect next time to see Kane & Son replaced with Vorm & Gazzaniga!

Crikey! Can't believe you've missed the worst one off the list.

Spurs 3-4 Man City

Spurs 3-0 up at halt time with City a man down. 45 mins later and John Macken scored the winner in an astonishing comeback in 2004. To lose that lead when you've got 11 against 10 is outrageous.

Hang on! Ignore me. I've just seen it in the main article. I'm losing it!

Their best player (Anelka) came off injured at half time as well

Wait what? The 61 double winning side let a four goal lead slip??
Wow there is hope for us yet. And the year ends in 1, and Burnley play in claret & blue

Yes mate, I was just a young lad when I saw that game, Burnley were the Champions from the previous year and a very good team. I can remember Spurs cruising into a four goal lead, and then the game ended up 4-4, and both teams were clapped off the pitch. Back in those days it was not so kneejerk as now, and people accepted these sort of results with hardly a shrug of the shoulder. Spurs lost the return match at Turf Moor 4-2, so conceeded eight goals to Burnley in the Double Season.

But they did get their revenge by beating Burnley 3-0 in the FA Cup Semi-Final.

Oh I used to love those days.

It’s ok Sandy. Some people judge everyone by their own standards, that someone would pretend about being an elderly Spurs fan
