Better team won, Kamara.

posted on 20/10/20

We came up against a team that was well prepared for us. They were set up to cope with us extremely well. There Tactics were spot on.
Yes we lost to an unlucky deflection but our end product was not seen all over pitch.
Am not disapointed with the result though as it will become a lesson for ourselves and am sure we will learn from it.
Possibly substitutions weren't used early enough as we needed to change the way we attacked as they defended brilliantly and we didnt have enough diverity attacking.
I still believe we will be safe this season, talk of us being in top 6 from a few fans i don't think is realistic. Its a tough league and as long as we are still here next season then thats a sucsessfull one for us.

Plenty of Leeds fans ranting and raving about how "good" they are when in theory you've only just about scraped past Fulham and Sheff United, arguably the 2 worst sides in the division.

Fair enough, wins are wins and you have made a good account of yourself vs both City and Liverpool but have only taken 1 point from those games and lost yesterday.

You might end up a bit like Palace, good against the top 6, average against the sides from 7th-14th roughly and will likely beat the sides who will go down. Leeds will finish between 13th-15th this season imo.

I live about 15 miles or so outside of Leeds. Didn't know crime was on the increase.

It's not about scaring teams. Scoring 3 against Liverpool, Villa got 7 and you only had 3 shots on target. As excellent as that is, will that happen every week? No. You had a point to prove against the big boys and gave it a good shot in both games, but ended up with 1 point.

Like I say, scraping past 2 of the worst sides in the league isn't a great deal to shout about. Living in the area, this is what does my head in with the Leeds fans being idiots shouting about top 4, top 6 or even top 10. You've got a lot more to prove if you want to finish in the top 10 this season.

oh dear avoiding the question

You're on TV virtually every week in the Championship and so far in the PL, so I've seen enough.

Again, avoiding what I'm saying. Your fans glossing over what is actually happening. All this "really good football" and all this "scaring sides" doesn't mean anything.

Like I say, you will beat the 3/4 sides that are worse than you, take points off the top 6 sides because you're that sort of side and be unspectacular against the sides between 8th-14th. Like I say, a little bit like what Palace have been in the PL.

Palace scare some of the top teams to death, remember when they lost at Anfield 4-3? Or when they beat City away 3-2? They do the same, do their fans rant and rave about top 4? No.

You're overhyped, get over it.

Wolves played to their usual strategy:

1) Park the bus in the first half.
2) Move the bus slightly in the second half and hope for an opportunity.
3) Park the bus again.

We lost, but I think we can all agree that we always struggle against teams that just sit back with everyone in the penalty area. Was the case in the Championship, still the case now. Hopefully most teams in the Prem will want to play football.

We lost, but I'd really hate to be a Wolves fan with the way they play the game. Give me entertainment and a chance of success any day!

I thought the game yesterday was a good one, a draw might have been the right result but the way sport is nobody's ever sure!..

I thought the Ref did his bit to give a false result as well!..

Reality check as in everyone has being raving about us since the Liverpool game and rightly so, but we showed last night that we are good but we still have grey areas. Just needed to be brought down to earth a bit.

You dominated the play but the issue that was there last season is still there. A top striker who can turn a game on his own is needed. I thought Rodrigo might play the role when he was signed but it looks like he isn't preferred up top on his own. This will be evident in games where teams sit back and counter. Although you'll do well against teams who have a go, due to the way you play. I still think you'll finish top half.

Some of what you say may have elements of truth.

I think most fans - not everyone is on social media, so probably not wise to judge a fanbase on that measure - are pretty grounded about what to expect this season i tend to find.

The football our team play is entertaining though. The players we're signing are a step up, hugely, from recent times, i think it's reasonable for excitement to arise from that. Personally i'd take mid-table right now and staying up. The quotes you're using are from pundits - generally decent ones - who appear to like what they're seeing from our team. Not sure what points you're trying to score from your visits to these pages?

Perhaps a tad of over-excitement from fans after 16 years away, nothing wrong with that.

I'm not having a go at Bamford (honestly!) but his first touch lets him down a lot of the time. He's invaluable for his workrate, and his ability as a poacher, but I'd like to see Rodrigo given the No 9 shirt for a few games.
