Not for me, its a completely different job you'd be asking of him.
The reason he's worked so well at LCB is that he can naturally drift into the LB positions when we have the ball and look comfortable there, also he's had plenty of room in front of him to make those driving runs he sometimes does (usually before passing it to their player at the end )
I would keep him as competition/rotation for LB with Telles, and first choice LCB if we play that formation.
I think Shaw has been great in general since the restart. My only gripe with him is that he holds onto the ball too long or passes back. He did it last night a couple of times and a hell of a lot against Newcastle. He cc Leary had an eye for space because he gets onto the ball in great position, just needs to learn to do more with it, whether LCB or LB.
there’s been plenty of great centre halves under 6 ft.

I can only think of one tbh.
It's a position that suits his best attributes and circumvents his worst ones. He's excellent in that role typically. Southgate should be looking at him as an option as he often likes to play with 3 at the back.

Mascherano did well there next to Pique for a couple of seasons. Keane played there for us a fair amount.
It really depends on the opposition. PSG for example didn't really threaten us in the air and we looked dangerous from our own set pieces. So not having as much height at the back isn't a problem against such teams.
He’s a 6 or 7/10 player most weeks. Just wish he’d be able to put a cross in.
Shaw is taller than Baresi, Cannavaro, Koeman, Beckenbauer, Puyol, De Boer and Bobby Moore.
Remarkably, he’s actually taller than Steve Bruce.
If Telles can continue providing the crosses and corners as he did yesterday Shaw's place at LB is in danger.
Just had a parcel delivered by DPD (just some trainers) and had the notification that it's been safely left in 'Rear Porch'.
We haven't fckin got one.
Looked at the photo and it's a blurry photo that he's had to take while jumping/climbing of the parcel on the garden path at the other side of our fence
They're fckin terrible

Small, good centre back: Roberto Ayala
Its all well and good having a great cross on you however you need someone on the end of it to put it in the back of the net. That is the problem I think Telles may have. He put in a couple of very good balls however nobody was there to capitalise on it. Martial, Greenwood, Rashford and even Bruno are all fairly poor in the air. Cavani could benefit but will he be a regular? Probably not
Onto Shaw I have always rated him. Ridiculous when I see United fans saying he is sheite...he isn't at all. His crossing is poor but that is about it. He defends well (except first few games this season) and he links the play well. Now he has serious competition lets see if he can raise his game even higher. I honestly believe he is the best English left back
Shaw has been one of our better players over the last few seasons.
He still makes positional errors and has poor delivery from an attacking perspective but other than that he has been good.
He will never be an Irwin or an Evra though.
I wasn't enthusiastic about us signing Shaw, but he's gone on to be decent. While I'm Still not 100% sold on him, I don't think he was the most pressing matter when it comes to replacing or upgraded.

A lot of our players do that simply due to lack of movement in front of them
Telles last night gave the ball away a couple of times, as in passed to no one. People need to realise that he didn't give the ball away he actually played it into a spot where you would expect your mf or forwards to be running into
Think back to rooney and his crossfield ball to valencia. People applauded him for that. Yet a ball into space for a player to run into is the easiest of passes to make. Just as long as the player on that side is making that run.
Our players are asked to bring the ball out yet end up giving it back to the keeper. Why? Because they don't see an "out"
