Played United last season in the EL. 7-1 aggregate win for United, largely United's 2nd string as well. Spurs should be looking to get that score tomorrow.

Ole schooled them with United so Jose will probably struggle to beat them.

They are 5th in the Austrian league, so we should beat them comfortably without having to use Son or Kane.

But we have a rubbish manager so he should keep them on the bench for when we go 1-0 down.

When we played them they had a good energy about them early on, but inexperienced and easily beaten once the first goal went in. Didn't play our first team in either game, and turned out to be the right call. A mix of your second string and first team squad players in need of minutes should see out a comfortable win if they do what's necessary.

Yes I’m expecting a struggle...
As pointed out above Potless Mourinho will b incredibly intimidated by this powerhouse of European football.
If only we had the behemoth of a manager that is Ole in charge.. perhaps he won’t mind if Jose gives him a call to talk tactics... may help?

Well I think you'll find that Ole has mugged off every top manager in this league. Including Jose.

The 1-6 result doesn't even really count... players weren't fit and as Gunnar said after Newcastle the season hadn't even begun then.

Just a word of advice, if you want the thread to stay on the topic of your game tomorrow and the opposition, then stop replying to Culer or just filter him like most of our board have started to do.

You should be coasting it with a 2nd string side tbh

I feel though that because of no crowd, atmosphere for a European night at WHL is completely flat.

Whatever made you think that!

even our 2nd string could beat United:

....................Hart...................

Doherty......Rodon...Toby...Davis

...........Lamela........Alli

Lucas.............................Bergwijn

As long as we are 4 up with 10 mins to go I'll be relaxed.

Rodon can’t play but apart from that I’m hoping to see a lineup similar to that tomorrow.

I’d play Sanchez, Winks & Aurier against LASK...

Our 3 worst players... just to ensure they get nowhere near the starting team against Burnley...

Even they can’t be poor enough to start against LASK, surely?!!

I’m still angry with their performances against West Ham... those 3 cost us the game 😡

Aside from those needing fitness I don't want anyone who will start against Burnley to start tomorrow.

Our group is so easy, the squad players should take over until the knockouts.

Trouble is... a team containing Aurier, Sanchez, Davies, Winks & Dele Ali is a major worry for me... even against LASK

What do you mean it doesn`t count? I suppose you will count your win over Brighton though in the game before.

That was a complete fluke result. You have to move on. Three goal leads given away in the last eight minutes are so rare, it probably will not happen again this decade. You cannot just keep blaming individuals. Spurs should have seen that game out as a TEAM.

I bet you were not blaming Aurier when he slotted in a beautiful goal against United just a week or so ago.

Why? It has been proven so many times, that making wholesale changes, and saving the so called better players for the next game very rarely works. How many times did Pochettino do that, and end up messing up both games?

Jose will pick whoever he thinks can win both matches. It may be some players play both games. I will trust him to get it right. He has neogiated a toughter week than this already this season. So I don`t see a problems whoever he picks.

How was Aurier to blame for anything vs WHU?

the flip side of that is that when we come to repalce players who are injured, out of form, fatigued etc the back up needs to be fit, sharp and motivated.

Under Redknapp good players sat on the bench for weeks and when called upon were not up to speed.

Its a big squad, it needs to be managed carefully and is we cannot beat LASK with a 2nd XI of internationals then what's the fecking point.

yeah I'm still furious. fed up with sanchez. complete liability. aurier has been good this season, to be fair, but could have avoided giving away the free kick. winks deciding to take men on on the edge of the box instead of booting it clear it the last minute was just idiotic.

My team

Hart
Doherty Sanchez Toby Davies
Winks Sissoko
Bergwijn Dele Lamela
Vinicius

Would only have Toby and Doherty starting v Burnley from that team.

That team is far stronger than anything LASK have. United/Arsenal routinely cruise through the group stages without playing their star players.

Our squad is quality, that team should have more than enough.
