I guess my first thought is FFS sake is this guy still here.. maybe MB sees something he likes?
Who missed out that you thought would be in the squad? - out of interest, because if they missed out and Bielsa picked Grot over him.. there's your answer, maybe nothing at all do with squad depth, or lack of
I enjoyed watching him in Guardians of the Galaxy.
He's actually done alright during his loans to the Eredivisie, and playing as a winger, which meant that we played him out of position 90% of the time. Still only 21 as well, I think.
Not sure why he's been named in the squad. Perhaps so that we hit a minimum number, as a lot of first team players haven't been registered due to being under 21.
Feel bad for the guy, personally.

If you look at our list, we are significantly below the 25 permitted players but four or five of our regular matchday squads do not even feature in that list (Meslier, Caprille, Poveda, Shackleton and Roberts) as they are 21 or below.
I wonder whether Grot is listed simply because he is over 21, doesn't have a club and is contracted to us and those are the rules.

They've not listed other players we have that are in the same position as Grot though, such as Bouy or, I believe, Shaugnessy. Suggests Grot is in a different category to such players.
As I said, he's actually done quite well out on loan, and I suspect we never really saw what he was capable of at Leeds.

A lot of the players were average pre Bielsa. Lets see what happens if Bielsa gets him going then I suspect we shall see a top player.
His base potential is high according to the Dutch, but was raw for those 2 years. Worth seeing if he can push on under a man who has proven he can shine tur
Is he really only 22 ? Still time to become a world-beater. I saw some flashes of real skill and athleticism in with the rawness and naivety in his few first-team appearances. If Bielsa sees something that's good enough for me
