Only really give out 5 stars and that's for good articles. If someone has a shocker I'll give them 2 stars as thats worse than 1
I never really use it unless an article is incredibly good or incredibly bad
The long thought out ones usually don't get many comments either which is a shame.

I don't usually rate articles. Very few seem to take it seriously.
Has become pretty pointless, WUMs will get loads of 5 stars while good articles will get loads of 1 stars.
Should replace it with the option for a poll, as that tends to be the only use for it these days.
You must remember this site has its fair share of unhinged weirdos who probably just rate articles based upon their general mood at the time of reading

This has annoyed me, therefore I'm 1 - starring this article.
If I see an article with lots of 5 stars I will give it 1 star to keep the OP grounded.
i think since ive been on the site ive given maybe 5 or 6 5 stars and never a one unless the article is asking for a vote.
i just seem to not think about it.
just looked at it and put a 5 star to put it ahead of the 1's

I've just looked through my article history - not that I've made many, more of a quality over quantity guy - many of them deserved far better ratings than they got.
Shame really.
Seems many did not deem this article well thought out
