“We have no hope of winning the CL”

Its there for the taking again this season. We will drop off a bit with the vvd injury, its inevitable. City still dont convince me, real and barca are nowehere near the sides they once were and psg have never really overly impressed me.

Bayerns rate of improvement over the last year has been immense and they appear to be the team to beat. But they are only 1 team, in years gone by there have been 3 or 4 really top teams.

Had we not lost virgil i would have fancied us to win it. Now its a bit of a lottery for us.

Utd, you never know, bit of luck with the draw, things open up, it could happen. They have the pace to hit teams on the break. Defo an outsider bet but not beyond the realms of possibility.

Liverpool and man city just raised the bar in the PL so high that now if a team loses one or two games in the CL or PL and they are instantly deemed off the boil or beatable 😅

Pl has never been harder and I remember these boards before last seasons CL where most fans were saying Munich were a spent force. CL is no joke to win.

In the CL I accept fortune can favour sides with certain draws but u don't win it without beating top teams.
Even average and good teams in the PL and CL have the players to make things difficult so Man U could win it but I don't think it's likely. More likely than the PL though just because of the format.

Never any easy games later on, but the big Spanish team are completely off pace, and will take time to recover. Bayern however still look better than any pl team, but I think they’ll regret losing Thiago, he could make a big difference for Liverpool, who also will really miss having vvd out badly.

So, maybe, with a massive slice of luck, and a bloody big one at that, it’s not beyond reach..,

Yeah, but you could say that about a number of teams.

I reckon your mate Trump has more chance of getting reelected.

Prem teams will probably be knackered by the knock stages. Bayern playing fewer games and being able to use five subs will give them an even bigger advantage.

I look forward to the meltdown on here if either happens.

So the guy who a couple of days ago wanted us to throw in the towel against PSG by playing a weakened side is now talking about winning the CL...

What worse sides than us have won the CL? And that’s not even me being negative to Ole.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool in 05 and Chelsea 2012 were far worse than our current side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

😹 how can you quantify that statement though? Chelsea had Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Ballack, Mata, Cech, Cole etc. Just because the way they won the CL in such a crazy way doesn’t mean they were worse than us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
drogue 34
ballack 36
Terry 32
Lampard 34

they were a poor side who had over the hill stars, their league performance showed that

big names, got lucky, even Chelsea fans would agree

The point is that they weren’t ‘much worse’ than this United side when talking about our chances of winning the CL. That nous and experience got them through some tough games. I doubt our squad has anything like that when talking about winning it this season.

"Bayern are favorites and the best side in Europe but I am not sure they are invincible either "

Come on, they just put 4 past one of the best defenses in Europe, without breaking sweat.

Mate, you DO sound delude when you try to convince yourself that Utd can win the CL.

Not even in the top 6/7 teams in the competition to be honest.

I can`t see you winning it, even with a gifted penalty every game.

I wish we could get any gifted penalty, instead of having to rely on the earned ones

When did I say throw in the towel just out of interest?
