Think you slightly edged it tonight
Draw probably a fair result, we looked a different team after half time when Knockaert came on - but you seemed to control the game better
I’m pleased with a point, especially after having gone behind - upwards onwards for both teams

Yes, I'd have accepted a point before the game. Must admit I like Knockaert and would've liked to have seen him at Derby and didn't realise he was only 28. He was certainly the catalyst for a better 2nd half from Forest. I thought Derby edged it - but like I said happy with a point and a much better performance from the Rams.
As a matter of interest re both Forest & Derby's "off side" goals. There used to be a saying of ' being in an off side position - but not interferring with play'..... is this not a consideration these days....anybody know ???
That part of the rule is still in force, Terry. A player must be interfering with play. The exact wording includes: “preventing an opponent from being able to play by clearly obstructing their line of vision”.
Forest’s goalie wasn’t unable to play the ball last night, he had a clear view of the ball as Jozwiak shot and was simply unable to reach the ball with his dive. Had Waghorn not been there the goalie wouldn’t have stopped it. You will always get some idiot (usually Mick McCarthy) saying that if a player isn’t interfering with play they shouldn’t be on the pitch, but that isn’t the actual rule.
So it should have stood. I don’t really blame the officials though, they can only give what they see and Waghorn’s jump must have made it look as though he was right in line. I bet that if he hadn’t jumped the goal would have stood.
Incidentally was that saying "not interfering with play, shouldn't be on the pitch" not originally attributed to Brian Clough?
He said that if one of his players wasn’t interfering with play then they wouldn’t be getting paid.
Thanks. Funnier than the McCarthy version then.
Happy Birthday Wayne Rooney, 35 today.
I refer you to my thoughts on Pele’s birthday.
. Be Christmas before we know it!
Morning all
I went to the pub last night, did I miss anything?
I can start wearing my fake Shinnie beard now Rooney has shaved his off.
I haven’t been wearing it in case people though it was Rooney adoration.
The Scotsman continues to impress me. Another top notch effort from him. This unsung hero needs to start being sung.
Not sure if anyone subscribes but if so a good report in The Times. Although, one of the comments suggests we are "too good to go down"
