If there is a 3 month break in the season come Feb/March this time round then Leeds could very well push for top 4 or the title even
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that makes sense what so ever
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To break it down for you, Leeds train and play at a very high intensity like a lot of Bielsa sides. When we look at what this has meant for Bielsa sides in the past we see teams that start seasons on fire before burning out with exhaustion in the second half of the year.

However, this did not happen last year - has Bielsa got a team of super men? Has he learnt a new technique? I hear you cry. Perhaps it was because there was a strange anomaly last season, what could this look like? A 3 month break perhaps to recharge the batteries of an ailing side - bingo.

Now this year Leeds have started fast again - and what my theory suggests is if Leeds are in the top 3 or 4 around Feb and then there is a 3 month break - rather than suffering Bielsa burnout, they will have the chance to replenish their energy levels and storm to the title after the 3 month hiatus.

If you need a picture to help then let me know and I will break out the crayons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you are trying to tell leeds fans about their team ffs lad, you have no idea what you are saying
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope, I’m telling Leeds fans to look at the history of their managers previous teams and wonder why the same thing happens over and over. Why does a theory called Bielsa burnout even exist?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i give up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh good.

Like I said Bielsa’s track record is so bad that he has a theory named after what happens to all his teams. The one time it has not happened is when there was a 3 month break in the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
just like unicorns, fairies, dragons etc..... i bet you think the word gullible has been taken out of the dictionary
----------------------------------------------------------------------

1961, and we will still be waiting at the end of this season too.

My comments are not based on tribalism and I certainly have nothing against Leeds - we’ve played you once in the cup in the last 16 years and there is no real history or bitterness amongst the two teams.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you beat us at home as we still haven’t won a home league game yet, and if crowds are back then the away game will be very difficult - although the burnout will be in full effect by then.

My whole point is a leopard never changes its spots and Bielsa sides always burnout in the second half of a continuous season like all his previous sides can attest to. Not sure why this is so contentious when facts support it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
fella i hear you & get you views however it is a falicy, in your eyes we are in a now win situation, we will be happy to finish 16th, you will say burn out.

how will our season pan out for you to define our so called burnout b0ll0x?

I think you will be comfortably mid table and wouldn’t be surprised to see you pushing for a Europa place. I don’t think you will be anywhere near relegation.

I was addressing those that were talking about the title. I did say that I expected Leeds to have 25+ points by Xmas which the fans would be happy with.

Yeah you play good football and will be a credit to the league - I just don’t think you will win it and think you will perform worse in the second half of the season compared to the first

there is no way we will even finish top 6 as already said be happy with 16th, however wouldn't be surprised to have a great run in the facup.

don't agree with your last comment, we will see aye

Leeds in the Championship won 6 games then the Corona Break gave an unexpected break, after that the first game to Cardiff Leeds lost!..

They came back and I think they won every game after that, I stand to be corrected but they lost none!..

Burnout, if they hadn't have had that break you say we would have burned out, it could just as easley be argued we could have won every game in that run in!..

Championship 3rd place year before, it wasn't burnout that ended our season, it was dumbass defending and player mistakes that did it, we still ran teams ragged but the last 3-4 or so games there was a lot of stupid play by a few players!..

Oh, and a game that Bielsa gave an own goal away!..

Welcome to ja606 new user.

The rules are simple. You must belittle all other teams and their achievements as often as you can while never giving any credit.

If Leeds fans want to say that their team will win the league then that's their right.

Of course they can mate, but Leeds ain’t winning the league and highly likely are Leeds getting top 7 either. We see this all the time with championship clubs coming up and looking good, then falling away halfway through the season because their squad isn’t good enough. Leeds will be the same. Only a select few clubs have been consistently good from the championship and that’s Wolves. Very rare does it happen. Leeds are a decent side, 9th or 10th most definitely. Top 7 not a chance

I've asked a few times around here how many said Leicester wouldn't win the Premier league!..

I've never said Leeds will win the Premiership, but I've asked why cant it be done again!..

I'm happy that Leeds WILL be top half come the end, but just maybe there won't be much between top half and top, so, its a possibility that anything could happen!.
