Record breaking season for Kane?

Hope he could break one of them, certainly could do both but it won't carry on like this or there could be a few players come end of the season with 32 goals or more!

You're certainly getting carried away in terms of assists. Crazy the amount of assists Kane has got so far but can't see him keeping that up. In any season if he stays fit, he'll have a chance at breaking the goals record but I don't think he'll do that under Mourinho, over a season.

Well, the other thing is, without the fans around and the crazy goalscoring going on it's making it more likely. Probably if he doesn't break one of those records, someone else will this season.

I do think he has a chance with the assist record with him dropping back more. You wouldn't bet against him getting another vs Burnley.

14 assists in 33 games doesn’t sound too unrealistic.

But injuries and spots of bad form will probably play a part somewhere down the line.

With Bale and Son around him he should get more space than usual, if they work a formation with Vinícius as well then you would have to fancy a record to follow.

At his current rate, he will register 53 assists in the league this season if he plays every game.

Thank goodness he’s a yiiiiiidddo

By far the best all round striker in the league and he’s one of our own 👍

He seems to have flourished under Jose.

May long it continue. I think we could even pair him up with Vinícius and I would love to see that combo.
Son, Kane, and Vinícius with Bale just behind them.
Explosive stuff!

Now he won't have to play every game too the point of exhaustion he could well break all the records.

*barring injuries.

*to

And yes sizzle. That's my point. Hopefully having a decent deputy will mitigate the risk of injury. Though I think it's fair to say half of his injuries are as a result of impacts so fingers crossed as ever.

Kane is one of the world's top strikers. Playing alongside other top players, I am fully expecting Spurs to break some goalscoring records this season.

This season is a joke. All records from this season should be scrubbed from history tbh. 80% games away wins or something like that.

Its making the betting easy. Minting money.

Away team to win and over 2.5 goals. Landing at a crazy rate.

Didn’t Kane get like 2 assists in the whole of last season?

24 goals & 2 assists in all comps ( 18 & 2 in the league )

posted on 24/10/20

Yea don’t really see him breaking any assist records if that’s the case.

Honestly the way pundits have gone on about Kane you would think he’s the first ever striker to set up goals for his striking partner. Kind of reminds me of the season Rooney scored 30 odd goals and pundits thought he had invented the header

Won’t be surprised if he wins the golden boot though

Keep up fella, we are talking this season. Or unless last season`s assists count for this season.

Why do people place their expectation levels through the roof? Seems stupid to think Kane will keep up this early form, especially the assists, when it's just not reasonable to do so.

He has never previously been someone with lots of assists so just seems a bit dumb.

I prefer it when expectations are low rather than setting a insanely high level of expectation.

Kane isnt a Henry, 20 assists and 20 plus goals in a season seems like people are asking way to much tbh.
Assists from him are a bonus not something he has to provide.

So many non spurs fans assuming these assists this season have been a fluke. Interesting to such opinions, guessing they haven’t watched any of our games in full.

I’m sure there are many more assists from Kane to come.

He may not keep the form up and often players can start out the blocks with goals and assists and it slow down as the season goes on, but what we can say about this season is, we have a much stronger attacking line up which should help contribute to Kane getting more assists. Plus it looks like the lack of fans is contributing to more goals anyway, so expect lots of players to get high totals this season.

Barring any serious injuries, there's no reason to not expect Kane to challenge for both records in this already crazy season so far.

I do agree, and noting salah got crazy numbers as a winger and suarez missed lots of games/didn't take pens, it's definitely possible he could break the record.

I just think it's tempting fate to suggest it's gonna happen. I'd even argue if Kane breaks the goals/assists record then other players haven't pulled their weight.

Kanes link up play has always been unreal i just think lots of fans found it frustrating how deep he was going (and not in the box) but as he has got a few assists lots of posters are endorsing the same thing they were complaining about in the last couple of seasons.

If kane/Vardy/Aguero stayed fit for a full season I'd say they defo have a shout of the record but u need so much luck to go a season with no niggles.

I wouldn't see it from Vardy or Aguero, not anymore. We have to remember that while they are into their 30's now, Kane has entered into what many would see as the peak years for a footballer, so the incredible things he's doing currently could also come down to his own improvement, when he was already a world class player.

He always strikes me as someone who is completely focused on being as good as he can and constantly getting better, hence his goalscoring stats getting better per season before the injuries. If this was any other player with his stats so far this season I wouldn't bother doing an article.

So Kane being Kane, and us now having the quality players around him, the ceiling should be a lot higher. It's like when people, myself included, were thinking if you were to put him in the City team his stats would be way better. Well at Spurs our quality up front is more akin to City's and we're seeing what he's doing.

So let’s look at our one season wonder shall we.............continues to score goals for fun and has added another dimension to his game. He has great vision and can spot a pass even before the receiving player thinks it’s on.
His work rate is also incredible, one minute scoring and the next making a tackle in his own area.
