We are in a great position to be honest. Last season we scraped many 2-1 wins and did the same last night. We still have the Thiago impact which will take us to a new level.

We won yesterday without needing goals from Salah and Mane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Only watched bits of your game yesterday so could be wrong here. But the bits I watched were reminiscent of our BHA game. But for their finishing we should have lost that game

Don't know if it's a hangover from winning but you've not looked as solid so far imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Only watched bits of your game yesterday..."

Clearly you only watched the bits where Utd were playing well.

We were clearly the better team, created far more real chances than Utd. and only conceded from a penalty that wasn't a foul and wasn't in the penalty area.

Any suggestion that we 'should' have lost that game are quite frankly just ridiculous.

Not looked as solid.

Well obviously not, no team in the world would look as good if you took the best CB in the world off them, but we're still the best team in this country by far.........

As I said earlier, Liverpool should really be 3 clear at the top of the league today, but for two of the worst VAR decisions the PL has seen.
But well take 4 from 6, and one defeat, without showing any real form, and move forward.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What exactly are you struggling with here?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn't know. 😂

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've had two Spurs fans seemingly p155ing their pants at that comment, but unable to tell us why. 😂

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’re laughing about you whinging about VAR when practically every team in the league has had far worse decisions, far more often.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christ, is that it? 😂
Practicality every team has had far worse decisions, far more often? 😂😂😂😂

Repeating that won't make it true

We were 7th on the VAR decisions table last season, one place above Spurs in joint 8th.

That was obviously the best answer he could muster.

If we could cut out the shiite at the back then we should be in a title challenge. Why not? We have one of the best attacks in the league which is reflected in our goalscoring exploits.

Both our draws were fortunate for the opposition in different ways when we know we should have come away with wins.

As for the Everton loss, that was before the Bale/Reguilon signings which gave the club a lift. If we were to play them now that result would be different.

May have too much on our plate to actually win the title but given none of the big hitters have been consistent and it's hard to see Everton getting a really high total then we should be in the mix.

Winning a trophy of some kind this season must be on the cards otherwise it's a complete failure.

Is jlou the Sandy of the Liverpool board?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What bit of my post were you struggling with exactly?
We haven't played well and won 4 from 6, we should have gotten all 3 points from that Everton game, and would have been 3 points clear today if VAR hadn't catastrophically fecked up.
How's that comparable to the utter delusional nonsense sandy spouts on a daily basis?🙂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do me a favour, who knows what the score would have been had Mane be rightly sent off against Arsenal. What Mane did was far worse than what Martial was sent off for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool had a goal wrongly disallowed with virtually the last kick of the game.
Not a stretch to assume if had been given, Liverpool would have won the game. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But there's a good chance Arsenal would have beaten Liverpool had Mane be rightly sent off in the 3rd minute so you wouldn't be 3 points clear.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a much bigger assumption to make.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit like Everton wouldn't have scored against Liverpool had VVD been on the pitch? Even though Liverpool conceded 7 the week before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We literally had a good goal disallowed with the last kick of the game. It's not a massive assumption that we should have won that game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree, but we all know that Arsenal would have beaten Liverpool had Mane been rightly sent off in the 3rd minute, I mean you got tonked at Villa ffs.

Like I've said before, I don't believe it was handball against Leeds, swings in roundabouts.

Pool really are not that good, and if the officials do their jobs properly won`t defend their sham and improper title. Unfortunately the refs will probably drag them close again.

Our midfield is better than it was with the addition of Hojbjerg and Ndombele's improvement.

Our first team is very strong, but same as any other team, if there are injuries to certain players it looks vulnerable.

Spurs still have more depth all over the pitch than Liverpool. They are looking to a 34 year old James Milner as a back up midfielder for a start. You only have to look at their domestic cup record recently to know that beneath their first XI, there is not a lot. Spurs look to have decent cover in every position.

Have a look at the stats from the Everton game.

We had more possession

More shots

More shots on target

More corners

Less fouls

We should’ve won that game!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes and we should have won against WHU and Newcastle by the same metrics. I don’t get the point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree but you didn’t!

We are being told that we are unconvincing, we haven’t been unconvincing we’ve just not been as good as we can be. We’ve still deserved to win the games we have and should’ve beat Everton.

The Villa game aside it’s been a decent return from a tough start!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardly a tough start, one promoted club, another club flirting with relegation, an Everton side who haven`t beaten you for donkey`s years, a team that should have been relegated last season, a Chelsea side reduced to 10 men, and an Arsenal side that can not win away at any of the so called big six for love or money. I would say it was a pretty easy start.

Compliment on the team that is, if somewhat backhanded.
