actually thats exactly how a 3-4-3 is supposed to work. your spare man is the sweeper or holding player or a cb. pirlo was fantastic at it. just very old fashioned and does not work against teams who sit back.

If you can't beat this Lesta team you should look rather look to the midfield of the table rather than top 6

No Gervinho was 100x better than Pepe. Gervinho actually scored some decent goals for us. Pepe has done nothing.

Knives are defo out for Pepe, he's had his season to bed in and has still be woeful.

Auba headed straight down the tunnel it seems. Guy barely had a sniff.

Last season we lucked out...our conversion rate was much better than our chances created warranted. The moment conversion suffers, we are up a creek as we don't create anything.

We need to talk about the players first who played the whole game rather than critise the others

Awful result, we just never looked like scoring. I expected this to be a comfortable win for us and for some reason we were just very poor 2nd half. Really have to go to Old Trafford and win.
