Age profile possibly, 28 with 3 years still on his deal. He would cost 100m easily with little re-sale value.
everyone always says this but whats wrong with an amazing player like Son staying at Spurs
Regarding Kane, i feel because out and out strikers like Kane are a lot rarer these days where wide forwards like Son are more in abundance around the world. All the top team all already have their fair share.
I find it incredibly bizarre.
Even more so when you consider the commercial factor to signing him.
I'd say there is at least a subconscious race issue when it comes to Asian players for the big Spanish sides. How many Asian players have starred for either side? I genuinely can't think of a single one. Likewise Juve.
If Son was South American they would be all over him that's for sure.
also apart from early signs this season of it being a phenomenal one for Son where he could get 20 plus goals in the league for the first time, he hasnt been as consistent as you make out throughout a season, although not to say hes inconsistent by any means.
no trophy this season Kane and Son could both be big stories throughout the summer of transfers

great point
Sssshhhhh.
Don’t draw attention to it!
Of all the clubs I’m shocked we haven’t tried to sign him. Great player and imo would walk into any side in the world 👍
maybe its just no one wants to deal with levy. do you get a lot of offers for kane? i really don't follow transfer rumors, hate the false hopes. maybe barca will come sniffing around now that they're struggling. would you take 100M for son?

That's a very good point and one I hadn't even considered. More fool them I guess.
His character plays some part in all this. He's not exactly Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of ego. He seems a really down-to-earth, hard working player with little in the way of inflated self worth. That should make him even more attractive to other clubs as he's clearly a major team player but that also means he wouldn't be on the phone to his agent touting him for big moves every month. A lot of what the media puts out comes directly from the players agent to stir up interest. If he has no interest in moving on, it's reflected in the lack of headlines. He doesn't actually realise how good he is which is great for us. He's like the perfect girlfriend - the magical combination of beauty and low self-esteem (before anyone attacks me for misogyny, it's a line from Peep Show). I'm confident he'll sign this reported extension with us.

I'd say they go for South America's as they find it easy to integrate into Spain and also have a history of a huge number of success stories there. Considering the relatively low number of top Asian players throughout the years, this means it's less likely they will end up at the top Spanish clubs. Then you have the integration issue. Look at British players, how many end up at top Spanish clubs?
I don't think Spanish clubs care about race, when they can get ahead of the opposition, they will try to do so, taking all variables into account. Race is surely not one of them.

I doubt they would be able to afford that. Both the big Spanish clubs have taken out loans from the government to help them through the pandemic. Any money they spend on transfers, I believe they have to return the same amount to the government as loan repayments.
I'd expect Madrid will sign Mbappe next summer but won't be much money left over after that. Barca- who knows.
I expect both clubs are in for a difficult period the next 2-3 years.
you are fortunate Son has stayed
I have always wondered this regarding the likes of when Mane, Salah and Firmino were regularly linked with your Barca's, Real's etc before Liverpool won the CL and PL, but you'd never hear anything on Son.
Is it a cultural issue? There is evidence to suggest that based on the fact that, as pointed out above, how many players from Asia have played for them clubs at that level, but that also begs the question, how many players from Asia have been good enough to play at that level? Few and far between imo.
I am surprised you don't see Son linked with any of these bigger clubs though. Some of it will come down to club ethos of course.
Took his goal last night really well, surprised the elite teams haven't tried to sign him

I love it when our supporters are trying to sell all our best players. I mean seriously WTF.
Bad enough clubs coming in and poaching them, without our supporters trying to move them on.
You have to remember an elite team did sign him. Didn`t Spurs sign him from Bayer Leverkusen.
