Ignoring the typo in their headline ... Lenny's blaming "media hysteria" and is basically saying the criticism is very unfair after "one bad week". Anybody buying that?
BTW his best line was this is "just one bad weeK". Aye, totally played off the park in 3 OF games on the bounce, pumped out of the CL qualies by a Hungarian pub team ... anything but convincing in most league games so far. Aye, one bad week ... after a pile of keech for long enough before that.

Interesting interpretation by Lenny that ... So he's damned if he's getting results with pash performances ... and damned if he's getting humped with even worse performances. Aye, OK Lenny ... is playing decent football and winning not an option, like ... with the most expensive squad in the league?

as much as I don't think he's doing a great job ATM I've got to say I can't remember as much pressure for other managers of Glasgow clubs in the media to get the bullet

That’s a fair point mate.....but I can’t help but feel that Walter would have came in for similar stick if we had a run of 2 defeats and a draw early on in the 97/98 season when we were going for the 10, with one of them being a limp defeat at home in the old firm.
We were pumped out the Champions League and the UEFA Cup by the end of September that season, and Walter had been getting stick for years about our performances in Europe, so he took all the pressure off himself by saying he was leaving at the end of the season....if he hadn’t done that, and we had been scraping by in the majority of matches domestically, he’d have came in for some serious stick, of that I have no doubt.

Accept that to an extent. Bottom line though is that our performances have been nowhere near good enough all season ... and appear to be getting worse, if anything. An acknowledgment of that by Lenny wouldn't go amiss. Getting key players back will help, but there's definitely something wrong in the camp, so that needs to be addressed ASAP.

It's all very harsh
He's lost so many players before big games
He's still having to cope with it yet is expected to win all the time
We've not kicked on yet but we still if we pick up our game in hand are only 3 points of rangers who are no doubt due one of their blips
But yes his team selection is often cause for concern and his tactics haven't been great but he also alters them and doesn't stick with it if it's not working
Once Edouard comes back we will be a different proposition
When el Hamed gets back we will be far more secure
Then we have Julian and Bitton
Edouard up top
Forrest ( meh ) and Johnston as wingers

CT ... That would depend on which Eddy comes back .... the good one, or this season's one who looks like he can't be ersed. His return also won't stop us being a defensive shambles ... and I mean our defending as a team, not just the back 4/5 (plus dodgy keeper). We look so open when we lose possession it's unbelievable. Key defenders back will help, but something just ain't right overall. Lenny saying if fans can't enjoy this season, when can they enjoy it ... well surely that should apply to the players too. If they can't get "up" for games this season, even allowing for no fans, why is that?

needs a partner to get the best out Edouard.
We have options now so hopefully we should see a different team when he gets back ...4-4-2
He would be a great foil for Ajeti I think and he links well with Griffith's so all good
Given where we are , any Edouard would make a difference but it would be great to see him produce his magic again
I said on Sunday i thought Lennon looked strangely disinterested.
He sounds it too.
Does feel a bit early for this as said win game in hand and it's 3 points behind despite scraping through several games.
Equally though no problem with that type of focus being on Celtic for a change

Add to that a Scottish Cup Semi on Sunday, if we win it, we're going for a quadruple treble.
We win the game in hand and we're three points from Rangers.
Rangers are playing really well and have been all season, that will not last, no team keeps it's great form for a full season. Injuries, covid and other factors will play a part.
The teams will be neck and neck by Xmas, then the hard bit will start.
Mass fookin hysteria by Celtic fans and ex-players.
Quite like that he’s came out how he has. Has looked pretty passive and just going through the motions. Nice to hear him come out fighting (despite disagreeing with a bit)
There are many Tim’s who don’t like Lennon and will be very outspoken given the events of the last week or so. They might well be right but let’s see what happens in the next few weeks.
Fans turned on Celtic managers when the quality of play dipped. Lennon (twice), Deila, WGS, BR.
It’s what some fans do. They are entitled to do so but getting hysterical doesn’t help. Time will tell.
