“Spurs as it stands are fast becoming the envy of the division”

Never change, Sandy

He definitely needs to write a self help book. The optimism is fantastic.

Some very good points there Sandy, about how the changes made by the club has helped the club to steer itself back to the top.
I have no doubt we will get back our top 4 position - which bar from last season, we had for last few years in a row.
We are being helped by Chelsea, United and Arsenal all having relatively noob managers!

I'd say we have great depth in the squad, when you think Dele etc was dropped from the last team selection, it makes you understand how this team has been bolstered with quality.

A lot to be cheerful for, and currently unbeaten since opening day, then yes optimistic about the season
Also, the amount of goals we have been banging them in, the partnership of Son/Kane (2nd highest in the history of the league), and Bale when he is in full swing, that's really exciting!!!!

Oh when the Spurs go marching in

I am always a very upbeat person. Life is always worth living to the full. No time for being miserable all the time.

Although 12 months ago I was as miserable as the next man, I will admit that. But I don`t stay miserable for long. As long as you have good health, what is there to be miserable about?

Morespurs, you like me are always cheerful and full of optimism. It is a very good trait to have. Being miserable and worrying all the time, cannot be good for anybody`s well being.

The summer transfer window was the key to things looking better imo.

Have a far better squad now and should start racking up points now.

Feel so much better about things than after the Everton game where things look very depressing.

Remember all too well. I was in hospital, following a heart attack, awaiting a heart bypass, with a Gooner in a bed opposite.

The Colchester night was a particular low point. And throwing away a 2-0 lead against Olympiacos in the opening CL group game.was the night before my opp.

Yeah, that time did test my loyalty towards Spurs.

not sure we are the envy of the division, sandy... we are not even top of the league...

however, i would say that in terms of squad depth and options we are there or there abouts with the best in the league.... would say that Liverpool and city still have a stronger first 11, but i think squad depth we really have caught up this window. shrewed recruitment.

just the very fact that we now have a viable striking alternative is excellent.

the fact that on Monday there was no space for Alli Bergwijn Sanchez even on the bench, means that we have good options.

skipp out on loan hopefully improving - i think he will come back better than winks.. and sessegnon hopefully kicking on, then we have young jack Clarke, and i haven't even mentioned Tanganga and Rodon yet, two more excellent prospects...

really strong squad technically, mentality still needs some work, but i think we can have a good season

Yeah all good thanks. Barts is a seriously good hospital if you are gonna have a heart attack.

The posts.....well no point in posting anything boring. Might as well be a bit controversial or entertaining sometimes. And lets be realistic, you won't get everyone to agree with your opinions right ?

Yeah all good thanks. Although with what is going on now, I don't think you want to get ill and go anywhere near a hospital. Am glad I missed the start of the Virus by about 3 months.

Yeah ok now, although Spurs still test my stress levels every time they play. Still, you choose your team and have to stick with them for life unfortunately.

Yes, I know. I have to be careful with stress levels too, and if you've noticed after couple of games, I stopped coming on here.
That was to make sure my stress levels are not going through the roof.
I had a mini-stroke a while ago, after coming back from Australia and when I was jobless for a bit, stress got on top of me, and bang! got TIA.

Touch wood, all good now but have to monitor my stress levels.
Luckily these have dropped recently

The envy of the division was a bit tongue in cheek mate.

The squad is so good now, as you point out players that cannot even get on the bench.
