As for Arteta he is just a park the bus merchant. Will get found out over the course of the season. Not entirely sure what the fuss is all about. I wouldn't say Ole or Lampard are tactically better to be honest however. For me they are all on a par and none have proven to be good enough yet

Nah our highlight of the season will be beating Liverpool by the same score.

He is way ahead of Lampard and Ole. They won the fa cup brushing aside City and Chelsea with ease.

Arsenal's squad is so far behind Chelsea and United's in terms of quality, if he finishes above either it's a big achievement.

They have been pretty poor this season, but have had a tough fixture list and showed plenty of signs last year of being well managed.

Lampard and Ole are in the biggest job of their managerial career now, neither will manage a big club again after they're sacked from these jobs.

Ole and Lampard are better tactically than him

LMAO what bullshiiit, Arteta completely owned Lampard tactically in the FA Cup final.

He seems to be doing a pretty good job, so far.

It is so focking stupid to say "aside from winning the FA cup in his first season, what has he done?". He won the FA cup beating some great teams.. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE HAPPY.

He is no Bielsa

He is like similar to old Mourinho in tactics. Make it tight as possible and hope to nick a goal against the run of play. Arteta is one of the most defensive managers in the league. Expect 80 minutes of Arsenal sitting back and hope for a couple of moments at the other end.

Interesting to see after Arteta was appointed Arsenal conceded 10.65 goals less than expected which is insane really. Interestingly last 21 league games they ended with a +11 goal difference when they should have had a -3.60 goal difference on expected goals so rounded to -4. Tactically Arteta was one of the worst managers in the league last season along with Mourinho but they had insane goalkeeping performance to win them many points.

they are an average side who now rely on individual moments of brilliance for their goals, usually from aubameyang... reminds me a bit of what we were under AVB.. an average side as a whole, but moments of brilliance from Bale got us a strong points haul.

Aubamayeng nowhere near as good as Bale was though in that last season at Spurs before he went to Real Madid.

as far as arsenal managers go, i don't really mind Arteta as a person and as a football man, but it does seem a big job for him considering he is completely unproven...

also, arsenal fans swing from one extreme to the next so a very difficult fanbase to manage - there are loads of them, and a high percentage of them are reactionary idiots.

Interestingly seeing Arsenal at home stats under Arteta. They have actually averaged conceding more chances than they have created under Arteta but have won an insane amount of points at home. Leicester City beating them was a well overdue loss for Arsenal at home.

That shows Arsenal quality though. They can get results regularly creating fewer chances than the opposition. OGS and Lampard are trolled for being rookie managers but since Mourinho or Arteta were appointed and compared to OGS and Lampard they are nowhere.

OGS and Lampard sides both have created a huge number more chances and faced considerably fewer chances against per game. Arteta and Mourinho are lucky they are both near the most efficient side in PL while Solskjaer and Lampard were both near the least efficient side. That just shows the quality Arsenal and Spurs have in goalkeeping and striker positions are much better than Man Utd and Chelsea.

Not completely true. Chelsea went 1 nil up and then lost their captain and best player through injury. Despite all that chelsea just played poorly. Was not much to do with arteta.

Arteta thinks he is a Pep teacher but really he is nothing more than a PE teacher.

Still not sure how to judge arteta, done pretty poorly in the league but then done well to get the fa cup. Not sure how to rate their team as sometimes they look good and then others I wouldn’t take any of them. Will have to see their league position this year to fully judge,

Imagine being bent over and spanked 6-1 at home to a team that’s only won 3 LCs in 30 years

There seems to be a more positive atmosphere around Arsenal in general I feel. Most fans were pleased with the signings this time around, Aubameyang signing the new deal will have helped matters and just in general Arsenal feels like a better club to be at rather than the Emery days when the football wasn't great, Xhaka had his outbursts etc.

Having said that, Arteta actually has a worse win % than Emery at the same stage (26 games) and has lost more games as well.
