PS5 possibly utilising DLSS equivalent tech

Amiga, what are your thoughts on HDMI 2.0/2.1 with regards to the PS5?

I have a 4K TV, which to me looks fantastic in quality when watching 4K stuff, as well as regular HD stuff. My TV only has HDMI 2.0 ports though so won't be utilising the 2.1 the PS5 supports.

How much of a difference is it likely to make, as I'm not going to fork out for a new TV any time soon.

And for the OP, I've never been a PC gamer so when comparing things like graphics cards it's really not my topic.

The videos I've seen circulating of the loading times from boot up, to playing a game in 7 seconds is scarily good though (to me).

Also, seeing things like dying in a game, to respawning and playing again in 2 seconds

My TV actually does have 2.1, but it really is more about future proofing than necessary.

Put it this way, I didn't buy my TV because it had 2.1. so I wouldn't worry about it for now.

It will be years before it becomes relevant to the average consumer, and not something your PS5 will make much use of anyway.

So stick with your TV, it certainly isn't worth changing, unless you were planning to upgrade.

Tbh I'd probably rather sit playing the PS5 at a smaller monitor than on the big living room TV, just a personal preference but I don't have space anywhere to set up a little gaming room.
