I think the issue about thick leaders is Politicians are getting their messages and policy dumbed down too much which treats the electorate like idiots. We are guilty of this here too in the UK. Agree with the comment about UK is like USA lite. A leadership race shouldn’t be a popularity contest. But Trump and Boris. I mean, come on. That can’t be the best we’ve got. If the opposition isn’t strong then what we get will always be less. I blame the parties for putting these two idiots in charge. I don’t necessarily prefer an alternative either. And I blame the opposition for making it possible for the other party to win a majority. No matter who the Dems put up, a vast majority of those 60m gop voters aren’t gonna switch. They hate the Dems and their policies. Doesnt matter what a gibberish idiot Trump is.
