During lockdown one I was working from home.

I'm a teacher, so we were setting work and getting the students to email it in and we marked it.

Lot of time sat at a computer marking kids work.

Then a couple of days before I returned to work, we were opening classes in a limited capacity for older year groups, I got rushed to hospital as a blood test showed my body contained practically zero fully formed whiteblood cells.

Was then diagnosed with leukaemia and had seven weeks of in hospital treatment before I was discharged to continue treatment as an outpatient.

Had to be rushed back to hospital for a week after I picked up a nasty infection from my picc line, however since then my life is regular trips to the hospital for ongoing treatment while been pretty much in full lockdown since the first one anyway as my immune system is still a long way from recovery.

So to be honest, second lockdown isint exactly a massive change for me...

Jesus dude, hope you recover well from that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep...all i'm bothered about is not being able to play golf...all the best fella
----------------------------------------------------------------------

sorry to hear about you being back on furlough Sheriff mate.

agree on the golf courses, absolute joke. Could go for a walk with a randomer round a golf course but i cant play golf around one with someone from my household
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The furlough is fine...the business I work for will not lose money particularly anyway...people pay us to secure caravans whether or not they can use them..although they do run a B&B as well

How much of a golf bandit BTW...?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
thats something then.

23 handicap but can play like peak Tiger for a couple of holes.

I won a board comp on Monday (2nd in a month) - or so I thought... only to find they've recalled the result because Intelligent golf (the system that runs it) facked up all the scores due to this new world handicap system...so two days on I still don't know

The members at my golf course are going bonkers. They sucked it up last time, but they are not happy at all now. Golf was a life saver in the last lockdown, made it bearable. Played my socks off on Monday but lost my lucky V1 on the last hole. Should have known it was an omen. No fecking golf, no fecking jollies, and no fecking proper football. We truly live at the end of days.

Makes no logical sense banning golf..none whatsoever, or probably tennis (outside)....the least they could have said is play in singles only for both

well, I guess I'm back training in the woods again.

not really missed pubs as such, sort of became normilty that all I can do is train.. I guess on the positive side, i can get some decent cardio in, rather than d 1ck swinging in a gym !!

always look on the bright side right?

really do feel for some, reduncies, family members or themsleves suffering from Covid, awful times.. don' really have the right to complain, been very lucky job wise, in fact, as I work from home I've made a spare room into an office, so its turned out well for me in that respect.. always wanted a ome office

keep your chins up if you're struggling lads, we'll get through it

I reckon the chances of catching covid on the golf course are about 100 times less than the chances of having your head knocked off by some w*n*kers wayward drive.

Nice...I had one in a comp before too

Two guys last year both 20 odd handicap both holes out on the same par 3 one after the other just behind us...to say they were pleased was an understatement

Golf courses being shut sounds harsh. As Goughie said, you can walk round a course just not take your clubs!

I'm working in a temporary job. I visit up to 100 homes a day, including going inside most of the time. Lockdown is a fecking joke. I only saw 1 person today who isnt working due to the lockdown.

Civil servant (assistant statistician). Been working from home for the past 7 or 8 months, and expect to be doing so for the foreseeable future. Northern Ireland had the worst figures for cases in the whole of Europe about a month ago and I expect that to be the case again in another month to 6 weeks, once the effects of our half assed lockdown have worn off

Been working from home since March as are those of my colleagues who haven't been made redundant.
Our director has now terminated the lease on our old offices so I'll be working from home forever, well until I retire
