Winston

You are right there is a lot to be said for optimism. The trouble with Sandy and anyone who reads his drivel will confirm, is that it is mindless optimism.

Calm down lads.

I admire sandy for his optimism... surely better than being a pessimist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He sets himself up for abuse with the extreme position he takes on every issue. I am all for optimism but it needs to be tempered with some realism too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Could be worse though mate, don't you think?

Not sure anybody sets himself up for abuse, for just giving an opinion.

Supporting my team is not an extreme position, or at least I don`t think it is.

Love how this was a debate amongst all sorts on this thread, sandy comes along and makes his usual senile garbage comment and the entire thread unites against him

As ever, there will be a number of factors in play - good or bad fortune with injuries being one of them.

Leicester very reliant on Vardy, Spurs very reliant on Kane and neither having the squad depth that City and Liverpool do.

Chelsea are a tough one to call because of the comings and goings, but you'd probably put them in the middle somewhere.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool don't have depth.

There is a reason Spurs are above Liverpool, they hace a deeper and better squad. You won't see Spurs getting beat 7-2 this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Knowing sandy, Spurs will get beat 7-1 next game now.

Your depth is Jota, Wijnaldum and that's it. There is no depth for Liverpool. Every other player on your bench or lower is a nobody. Chelsea, City, Tottenham and United have better depth.

Non first XI players for Liverpool:

Adrian
Kelleher
Jaros

Matip
Williams
Tsimikas
Phillips
van den berg
another Williams apparently
Wijnaldum
Keita
Milner
Oxlade Chamberlain
Jones
Shaqiri
Cain
Minamino
Origi
Jota

Like I said, the only decent players there are Jota, Wijnaldum and maybe Matip. The rest are absolute garbage.

We've as much depth as anybody. Probably the most depth in the league actually.

Probably been said already, but I read this in Donald Trump’s voice.

Agreed when you have to call on the likes of Milner and Minamino as your main back ups, then you know you are in trouble.

Liverpool have zero depth.

There go wahl, endorsed by Sandy, congrats.

Personally I see a list of youth players and experienced international footballers with huge experience and great attitudes but there we go. It seems to be working rather well too.

OK, but for Comparison, Chelsea's list:

Caballero
Kepa

Alonso
Emmerson
Tomori
Christensen
Rudiger
Azpilicueta

Kovacic
Jorginho
Gilmour

Hudson Odoi
Giroud
Abraham

I don't think it's close, Liverpool's depth is garbage compared to ours and you could do the same with Tottenham or City or United.

Could actually put out a midtable team with our backups.

Adrian
Williams, Fabinho, Matip, Tsimikas
Ox, Wijnaldum, Milner
Shaqiri, Keita
Jota
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where’s Henderson? In the third team?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
First.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good one

I think Chelsea have a great squad, I don't think that makes other footballers absolute garbage though as that would emotionally incontinent polarised attention seeking.

Jose doesn't rate Spurs back up players. Wahl in turmoil.

Also, if Fabinho, Oxlade, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita and Jota are all back ups, who's in the first team

The only midfielders you have left are Henderson and Thiago right

It was your list wahl.

Take out Wij and add Elliot as garbage.

No I'm referring to toordude's team:

He cheated and didn't want to include one of your shiiitty championship level back up CBs so he put Fabinho there and hoped no one would notice.
