GRAND SLAM OF DARTS 2020

Group C has a group of death about it. Smith is obviously the seed and favourite. Rata and de Sousa need to prove themselves in a major. Ashton has had some big wins this week (Rob Cross and John Henderson among her defeated opponents).

Wouldn't say MvG has the easiest task. Both Cullen and Clemens have the ability to take advantage of any poor form.

Group F is another "anyone can win it" group.

Then DvdB smashes a 114.85 average, a record for the GSoD.

Damn, Suzuki should have beaten Gerwyn Price.

But it is Peter Wright who is the victim of the big day 1 shock, losing 5-4 to Van Duijvanbode

Although MvG has to play yet.

Oh yeah, MvG already played and won 5-0. Forgot that.

Rapid Ricky beat Wabid Warren. Warren pretty much certainly out.

An under-par Glen Durrant loses again and is all but out.
Hopefully he can be back to his full health by the time the Worlds come about next month.

Whitlock is first player to go through. Beat Ando, another not at full fitness, 5-1.

Ratajski double trouble. 4-1 down to Ashton.

Great recovery to win 5-4 by Rata, but those 4 legs costly.

Maybe I'm a bad man DJ but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I got sick to death of his little old me from Middlesbrough just happy to be here routine during the Premier league coverage.

Petersen could actually win a major soon. Such a massive improvement in a short space of time. Wayne Mardle is a magician.

They've really toughened Petersen up.

No more Mr nice guy, he looks bang up for it.

LETS PLAY DARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strange time for this session, but I guess it is so it doesn't clash with the football.

Lots to play for tonight.

Good 5-1 win for de Sousa.

Smith needs 1 leg to go through.
Ratajski needs a win of 3 legs or more. A 2 leg win and him and de Sousa are level. Anything else and he is out.

posted on 19/11/20

And Smith gets what he needs in the first leg.

posted on 19/11/20

Rata trails 4-2, so is out.

Group G is another where everyone can still qualify.
Suzuki will need a big win and a big Price win as she has to overturn a 8 leg difference on Joyce.
Clayton also needs a win, and the bigger the better.

posted on 19/11/20

If Clayton wins 5-1 or 5-0 then it will be winner goes through, loser goes out in the Price-Joyce game.
