Il be waiting abit longer before I decide to go back. Its far too soon IMO and I can't bleieve they are talking about having fans back on within 6 weeks. It's literally crazy.

I don't see why it hasn't been done already, the trials were a huge success and all the evidence points to outside spread being minuscule at worst.

When i say already obviously not during lockdown but for October it could/should have been done at 1/4 capacity for regions not in tier 3.

If this was in any way possible, then why didn’t it happen earlier in the season before the country had to go back into lockdown? But now we’re somehow going to be able to get from lockdown to attended matches in a space of a couple of weeks? Yeah, sure we are Boris.

Sorry but this just sounds like more ‘flimsy good news’ being dangled to keep us plebs in line, whilst the government decides what policy to adopt this week.

If they have 2 meters gap between seated fans and ensure no crowd grouping forming outside then it should be on. But we all know this won’t be the case! A group of fans will form as chanting and alcohol takes hold and people are bound to huddle and chant and spread the joys of Covid!

Every man and his dog said that would happen back in June for the restart but that hasn't been the case (bar the incident with Liverpool fans)!

Wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see fans back till next season

Fans back in areas where risk of infection is low. I.e Southerners.

We are all going backwards to Christmas !

So, some clubs in certain areas of the country could have some fans back while others will remain without a crowd of any kind.

You can`t have one rule for some and another rule for others, and retain the integrity of any competition.

It started without fans so must finish without fans.

I do actually agree with this

They will have to ensure that there are two metre gaps between fans in the stadium, so Man City will have to try and encourage more fans to go than normal. Lol.

Agree, although if Manchester miraculously becomes Tier 1 and is allowed fans back I'll be happy.

So Liverpool didn't win the league last season because it started with fans and ended with no fans? I'm fine with that

Fans back about 2 weeks after a national lockdown? Can't see that happening and if it does it's quite possibly the stupidest move they'll have made during the pandemic and there have been some bad ones.

Don't believe what the media make up, they have been coining it in since Feb with this virus.

It would have made sense to do this earlier in the year - don't see any reason why up to 25% of the stadium couldn't be filled with some decent planning.

Unlikely they'll do it before Christmas I'd have thought.

The article suggests Boris has made it a priority. So we can look forward to having an app that doesn't work in 8 months time

billy, stop making sense.

Spurs have improved results since fans have been banned from stadiums, so it would clearly be an unfair advantage to them if this happens partially.

I want to see a percentage of fans back as soon as but before Christmas seems unlikely. I don't agree with not having fans back at all this season because we started without them tbh.

Don't see why we can't just wait until it's all gone first.

If they do allow supporters back into Football matches would any of you on here who can, but wont consider attending (and paying for) PL football matches, in the past, want to start to to attend football now?

Also for the few on here who do usually attend football, would you still go, or having seen it on the TV for the past few months are you now happy watching it as a telly programme, for the vastly reduced cost?

I'm a ST holder and I won't be rushing back to 25% full stadiums. It's not for me and it's far too soon IMO. We are literally in a nationwide lockdown and during this we are hearing football fans could be back in stadiums in weeks. It's literally crazy.

Was literally just asked this in PMQs and he didn't indicate fans back soon.
