Fans Back By Christmas?

I wouldn't want to go back to a 25% capacity stadium in all honesty, the atmosphere wouldn't be the same. I can understand why some would and why others wouldn't due to concerns about the virus still being active. At least traffic would be better though.

I'm not sure how or even why the government have given some sort of hope to this anyway. If they don't do it, it just disappoints some supporters, if they do, does it not bring up the concern of they are either ignorant towards the effect of the virus or they just don't see it as that much of a threat no more.

I'm just wondering if PL football could ever become a spectator sport again.

It seems that the TV fans are happy that the stadiums are empty (why should it bother them especially as Sky dub crowd noises on the audio).

It just the match going supporters (who are a massive minority in the grand scheme of things) who 'miss out' on their football experience.

If the clubs can recoup their match day revenue (at United is nearly 20% of total revenue) in other areas such as PPV season tickets, then why bother with supporters?

It could take years to get the stadiums full and rocking again at this rate.

The evidence and data suggests outside spread is very minimal, the trials with the Brighton/Chelsea friendly and select lower league games were hugely successful (not to mention crowds have been brought back in other country's). Its infinity times less "risky" than a lot of things that we were allowed to do for months up till two weeks ago.

where do you get that from?
i can't go to games because an ocean separates me from the stadium but not seeing fans in the stands and hearing them react to something that is actually happening cheapens it a bit.
i actually watch without the fake crowd noise.

The fake crowd is ok but of course it doesn't compare to the passion, expectancy and pain of the crowd.
Even 25% will be better than fake noise

i agree. when my local team in the cfl was dying the slow death there would be about 500 of us in a 68,000 capacity olympic stadium.
the up side to that was i could enter with a case of 24 beers on my shoulder. saved a fortune.

talking about Fans in the UK that can go to PL games but choose not to and would rather watch it on the TV via Sky/BT subscription.

I dont mind us going from No fans in stadiums to fans in stadiums mid season as it happened the other way round last season but...

Has to happen at the same tome for all regions. Will be chaos if not and prem clubs wont agree to it
