Surprised you may get it a day early though from Amazon, 3 people I know that are expecting one from them have had their email today saying to expect it by 9pm/11pm tomorrow.

Not simply focusing on a power upgrade, but the whole user experience. From the load speeds, to the controller, UI and enhanced sound, it really is one of the biggest leaps I have seen.

Actually agree, Mike. I thought it was a needless accessory at first - like the remote - but heard great things and think it could really add to the experience. Might have to pick one up!

What you itching to play first Rooney? It would be Demons Souls for me.

One thing I would recommend going by what I've heard is not to neglect the free Astro Bots game that comes ready to play, even though it seems a bit childish and you'll want to get cracking with the exclusives.

It's got rave reviews purely as a demonstration as to really showing what the new controller can do, more so than other games.

I’ve heard good things about Astro Bot and how it highlights the level of depth in the Dualsense...reckon that may be first as a starter.

Then, I think the next few days will be dedicated to Demon’s Souls, Amiga.

There are actually a few games I’ve been meaning to replay recently (Bloodborne, God of War) but held off because of the PS+ Collection & unlocked frame rates, too.

Add to that Bugsnax is free with PS+ and it looks like I won’t see the light of day or another physical being bar the pizza guy for a while 😂

I think you have it right Rooney, The older games will benefit too, so worth holding off. Apparently it transforms Days Gone, which is already a great game.

Shopto had my ps5 in the warehouse 8 days ago and it’s being delivered tomorrow!

For some reason all the games were released in the 12th a week before the console, I’ve had assassins creed just sitting here waiting..

It will be in a couple of months, but not a launch title. Personally, waiting for the next gen iteration of PES. Always been a FIFA guy, but the last few have been really lacking in quality, so just missed a few years out entirely

Well guys, it looks like Mike was right: it’s 830pm and it’s still not here - I’ve little hope of anything arriving tonight (even though Amazon still says by 11pm) as Guernsey pretty much closes at 9pm any night of the week!

Hopefully comes nice and early tomorrow to give me a full day of it; I have been relegated to watching “The Late Bloomer” with the missus...not how I wanted to spend this evening...

Rooney, did you ever play the original Demon's Souls? or any of the other souls games,

I missed the original on PS3 but played all the others (and bloodborne).

I actually did a boss ranking article a little while ago and I think that features Dark Souls I & III, as well as bloodborne.

Without doubt my favourite games these days, so really exciting to play the one that started it all off

I was watching someone playing it yesterday, he was a Souls veteran, he actually found it really hard. Although he was going with a pure strength build, and didn't want to use magic.

He was really struggling, he wasn't expecting that.

Call me masochistic but I’m glad to hear it’s proving to be difficult. I went and beat Dark Souls I remake a few months ago and it was a lot easier than I recalled the first time round being. Still my favourite Souls game, but wished it was a little harder.

I have heard that magic is very overpowered in Demon’s and it sounds like BluePoint won’t be tinkering with that, so I think I might do the same as your guy and play without magic...pyromancer has always been my preferred build, but it’ll be interesting to do a pure melee build

Yes I am not that good at these types of game, it was the magic that got me through.

Anyone who can beat it without magic, earns my respect.

Joke mate - I heard about them shifting to yodel despite promising DPD at pre-order stage.

The good ol' Guernsey Post isn't looking any more reliable yet, in honesty. Amazon still says arriving by 11pm today, but it's been stuck like that since yday...here's to hoping!

CD Projekt were one of the developers to promise a free upgrade between gens, I believe. Didn't it just get delayed again? When I say "just", I mean a couple weeks ago
