To be fair city are struggling a bit at the moment but they’ll still finish top 4 and they play fantastic football.

And you base that on the fact they are below us or will have to spend another 100 on a defence?

It’s an inconvenient truth.
Apparently pep has credit in the bank?

Who's bragging? Is it factual that united have had a shocking start and have rightly been picked up on and yet find themselves above a team that has the world's best managing them with unlimited resources?

They are beyond struggling.

Their football is to pass teams to death, Boring.

They were figured out a long time ago and lose a lot of games these days. They fail to adapt and just keep trying the same tactics.

Not surprised by todays loss. City are a mess. Kompany, Silva, Fernandino, Aguero etc. have not been adequately replaced.

They're easy to play against and Ederson is a liability.

Pep is a smart man taking the 2 year deal while things deteriorate. He wins either way.

He'll go back to barca I think. Or take over Spain. Just find it bizzare that some of the faithful will still slate OGS even though trajectory and results wise we are up and the world's best is down.

I said earlier today they won’t make top 4

Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Leicester

City are rebuilding and I doubt will do too much this season. Messi will be a very interesting signing next season - how he helps the rebuild will be the big question

Ole and what he’s doing is completely independent to what Pep is doing. We’re currently below Roy Hodgson but I don’t see you making that comparison.

I think so too. There is the argument that he just wants to leave Barca and his heart isn't in it. But I don't think City splurging huge money on his wages at 34 years old in the hope he can turn his form back on like a tap would be a wise move. The main reason I wouldn't want him to go is just because I don't want to see a shadow of peak Messi in the PL, producing occasional magic

Pep has said he won't return to Barca in the future. He said that his time there is done.

They've been coached that there's one set way of playing and that if you keep doing it, it will eventually succeed. Even with a few minutes to go, at two nil down, it's still patient probing. All individuality and risk is removed. It's all about controlling the game, which LVG was also obsessed with. So there are big similarities

Pep has nothing to prove. And when his system starts working again, City will be deadly and will start humiliating other teams as before.

OP
We finished 3rd in the League table last season and had sights on getting closer to 1st and 2nd this season.
Fortunate yet below par performance...Definitely not a step forward performance-wise.
Imagine - first home league win of the 2020/21 campaign.

No matter how you look at it it is shockingly depressing. Ole's Inconsistency can be traced back to last season.

Next in the league we've got Southampton and West Ham away followed by City at OT

'Season starts now' said Ole last night....

Let's see
