Fair play Sandy, you nailed it with your prediction.

Jose has got us in very good shape. Looking solid defensively and threatening on the counter.

Now it's time for a charge at the title

No problems mate, as you know I have been one of the few that fancied Spurs before a ball was kicked. My assumption was based on new players coming in added to an already very decent squad would make all the difference, plus with all the injuries Spurs usually get, I thought the team was underperforming last couple of seasons.

Sizzle doing what he usually does, puts up a negative article a couple of minutes after I put up a positive one.

He really is a prize plonker.

Reguillon and Hoijbjerg have been huge to our improvement. Aurier has really upped his game since we bought some competition too.

LB, RB and DM were our real weaknesses last season.

Toby and Dier have now formed a great partnership. Real shame about Toby, our best CB suffering a long term injury. Unlike some fanbases though we won't be crying uncontrollably about our best CB getting injured

"Spurs also do have the luxury of having beaten Chelsea already this season from the Carabou with a reserve team up against their pretty well full strength XI, albeit on a pens, but a win is a win."

I've just checked that Chelsea Xl for that game and Spurs played more regular starters than them.

Chelsea had no James, Silva, Havertz, Ziyech or Pulisic. Kante came off the bench, so one of the league's best defenders and their best player last season. The only one's of their usual starters that started were Mendy, Chilwell and Mount and two were barely through the door.

Spurs' regular starters that started that game were Lloris, Alderwierld, Dier, Aurier, Sissoko and Reguillion with Kane coming off the bench.

Morning Sandy, do love being proved wrong and when you are right. Fair play

Sorry Zouma played aswell, so Spurs 6 to Chelsea's 4.

Sandy - I wouldn't call it a comfortable win or dispatched City making it a "routine win"
But it was a Jose masterclass for sure and I am delighted with the 3points against one of the top teams in Europe.

Chelsea are in cracking form too, next week will be the acid test for Spurs and Jose to see if we are really in with a chance this season or just pretenders to the crown as in previous seasons.

A good team in top form, and the top 2 sides in the PL facing each other? Yes our toughest test in the PL this season so far

Our toughest test was yesterday. I really do not rate Chelsea that highly. They haven`t beaten much this season. Sure it will not be easy, but I certainly think it will be easier than City.

But but but you had more starters

Mendy, Zouma, Chilwell, Kovacic', Mount, Werner.

Maths not your strong point

Chelsea are a threatening team but we will take a lot from having beaten them this season. It was a game a bit like yesterday in that the first half we gave them too much respect but changed that at HT and were the better team second half, far more threatening and largely nullified their threat.

For sure they will have a stronger team out and are in decent form, but so are we - Kane Son NDombele PEH GLC.

Should be a cracking game. I have it as slightly more challenging than City in terms of defence as CFC have a big man in the middle so threating from crosses and have a couple very decent crossers. We let City cross yesterday as they offered no height.

Next week is the acid test, our record at Stamford Bridge is atrocious and as much as we give West Ham stick about Spurs being their cup final, it is equally true of Chelsea - it’s always their biggest game of the season.

I would bite your hand off for a point as I don’t think that would damage us at all. If we take 3 points then a genuine title challenge will be afoot.

Also what has Jose done to Dier, he looks like an absolute monster in that defence.

When they have been at full strength they have started with a midfield of Kante, Havertz and Mount. Furthermore I was mainly debunking Sandy's delusional myth that it was a second string Spurs side up against a full strength Chelsea side.

Looks like thinking before you type isn't your strong point.

Sandy the Soothsayer.

He speaks the future, and it will come to pass.

Can you give your crystal balls a rub and predict a Leicester win for this evening please?

Wouldn`t be surprised mate if Leicester won, you are in very decent form and playing much better than Liverpool. They of course will use the excuse, they have their CB missing.

That would be the Kante Havertz and Mount triology that have started what? once together?

Doubt you'll ever see those 3 start together if Ziyech is also on the wing.

I look at Spurs and I think what an ordinary team.

You have Son and Kane and then utter meh players. Yes those two are brilliant and can win games for you agst any team on any given day, but they can't carry an average team to a title.

The team under Poch a few years ago was much stronger than now.

Enjoy your time in the sun while it lasts.

I don't know why you think that. They started agst Burnley and it is clear that is our best midfield 3.

I will be surprised if those 3 don't start unless there are injuries leading up to the game.

Ordinary teams do not top their leagues, top their european groups or reach the last eight of a domestic cup competition.

Dry your eyes fella.

And does any true experienced football fan really think that the Carebo Cup game won on penalties has any bearing on the match next weekend?
