If players are in the red zone, they're in the red zone. This was the second of 12 games in 41 days and we trained with 16 players yesterday. I'm genuinely just pleased we have no more injuries.
We need one win against Ajax or Mitywhateverland and we're through.
I'm genuinely happy with no injuries. For all we know we did fvck all light training sessions because so many we're close to the edge. This team had never played together before, neither had Saturdays.
It's genuinely absolutely fine, if not good.
Did I just write genuinely three times? I started drinking at about 3 I think.

A draw with ajax will get us thriugh as well
Ajax come next week knowing they really need a result. They will be absolutely bang up for it. We will need to be to now.
Said before and will say again, just get the group won tonight by playing the best team possible. Then we have 2 straight weeks where the first 11 can get a full weeks rest between league games.
We took a risk and its backfired.
I think the result is not as important as the "time" we need to get players back..

Good. Talk of disgusting performances or playing a stronger is rammal. Something had to give and if I had to choose it would be this.
I can't have been the only one who saw that back four and midfield, plus Origi through the middle, against a decent side who have to win and thought 'we might get done here'.
Granted I didn't think we'd be that bad but I didn't think Atalanta would be that good.

We won’t be messing around with the team selection next week that’s for sure.
No i dont suspect we will but we shouldnt have tonight. Im not really having the "we play at 12.30 on saturday" argument. If we had 3 or 4 points from our 1st 3 games we would have went full team tonight, saturday wouldnt have come into it.
Matip played tonight. Hes now probably going to need to to play next week too instead of us just going out with the full team and getting it done and him being given a rest against ajax.
Im not doubting we'll qualify. We just couldve made things a bit easier over the next couple of weeks with victory tonight and i think we would have won tonight if we started the 4 that came off the bench.
a well deserved loss.
atlanta didn't really so anything until 4 subs lined up on the sideline and our players started thinking about a hot bath.
in reality we were happy with a point from the off and certain players looked like they didn't see this as a chance but rather an inconvenience.
origi was so far off the level required. he killed everything.
rhys Williams was passing it to matip. the end. that was pretty much a dont make a mistake performance
not one of the 3 cms slotted in for a pass off the cbs either. again no error stuff.
neco williams is a scary player. he is going to lose the ball in a bad area and result in goals against.
