Even Jose has not done that in the big leagues

Liverpool's three quarters of a title in a row is still quite impressive as they almost won the league last season, before it was stopped.

Klopp is a great manager. None better at the moment imo. And that's not the only sign of a great team?

Well first get past UTDs 20.
Then win 14 Prem titles.

But I think 3 is a bit harsh, I’d say any team that goes back to back, has to be in the conversation.
Obviously No team will top UTDs run, just can’t be done. And they did it Twice.
Look I can’t stand Liverpool, but respect due.
What they have been doing for almost 3 years now is phenomenal.

(Now excuse me while I throw up...)

Yeah I think a team who wins the CL and the league, in two seasons must already be a great team, without having to forget about one of them and win the other another two times.

But then Evra never was the brightest.

This, when we get to 3 in a row I'm sure there will be something else we have to do to be considered a great side.

Why? Won it last season, one point away from it the previous season, favourites and likely to win it this season. There's a very good chance it could be three in a row. 0% chance

We may need to do a pact with the old gunslinger Jose Mourinho to save football from Liverpool#20

Really? A cup win can be an anomaly, like when Chelsea won it but came 6th.

In context with your 2nd place finish and performances in 18/19, you are correct that Liverpool can now probably be classed as a great team... But it really does need that context.

In terms of current teams they are a great team, phenomenal. In terms of looking at the history of football they obviously have a way to go. Doesn't take away how good they are now though so why's it matter.

It's a slightly daft comment based on an arbitrary criteria. Of course you agree with it Wahl

Tbh, I'm sure it was a tongue in cheek comment by Evra. If he's serious it would mean he believes there have only been 3 or 4 great teams in the history of English football.

As always I agree with saint Pat. United won three league titles in a row twice during the PL era.
This Liverpool side just won the first title in 30 YEARS ffs!!!
Why are people so quick to put them up there amongst the all-time PL best teams?

posted on 26/11/20

We can all agree this Liverpool team/cycle is by far greater than Wenger Arsenal, right?

As far as honours go, you have a point, but look at the numbers they are putting up. It’s debatable to a point, but if they go back to back, then unfortunately it kinda gets forced on us to accept it like it or not, that they can be considered the 2nd best club to do it.

Lets be honest Liverpool should be winning the league this season.

Best team and best manager.

City were supposed to be the biggest challengers and they are behind Arsenal in the bottom half FFS

Tottenham and Chelsea probably too early for them but with Jose Spurs may just be the surprise package.

I find the rivalry/bitterness pretty lame and tedious.

This is a great Liverpool team. There’s no doubt about that. Back to back CL finals, a league win and a second placed league finish that in any other season wins the league at a canter. Looking strong again this season.
