i was a liverpool fan in the 80s, switched to united in the 90s, and am now mulling over becoming a bayern fan.
but i've never been within 100 miles of the 3 cities, so not sure if this counts?

Wums will not be deleted. Not on this glorious night.
I lived in Burnley for a while, and enjoyed it, much to every ones surprise. Went to see the clarets a few times with my neighbour, enjoyed it. Town centre stadium, vocal fans, traditional, fun.
But if we draw them in the cup, and play them in the league I shout for us, but they are my second team
Genuinely great match between two local towns.
One on the rise from obscurity, the other on the way down from their best ever period

Yeah I hear you 52.
Slightly different as that's a second team.
When it's the hometown team it really does create a fracture..... of guilt... I think.
I should follow the local team. I think we all agree on that to a degree.

Think he’s joking
I support port vale on the very rare occasion they play Utd in a cup... Utd will get plenty of other chances, vale need the cash and it’s good for the city.
Now if vale made it to the PL ... bigger questions about my loyalty would be asked, but it’ll never happen

Leading on from that, I wonder what would be going through Nev, Scholes, Becks etc heads if Salford got to the PL. Would they be at all conflicted when they played United? With the finance behind the club, it's not altogether unlikely that they will end up in the PL in the medium term future

Sharp as a beach ball.
born and raised in withington.
family split 60/40 blue/red
blue 60% always seemed very annoyed I wasn't a blue, red 40% always just laughed at blue misery.
fortunately I left the UK midway through the aguerrooooo season so haven't had to endure what is most likely very overdue payback at family events.
