The way things are going Klipperty Klopp is going to struggle to scrape a team together for Sunday, It seems Alisson has a hammy now and is out.
If we can't beat them when they have a makeshift side it will be very disappointing.

Evidently the case that due to Brexit, British clubs will not be able to sign players under 18 years of age from Eu countries. And a maximum of 3 aged 18-21 from the eu in one transfer window
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I looked it up and have found 14 players we have signed over the last three windows who are under 21 and from overseas. This will mean a rethink of our recruitment strategy; particularly in recruiting to improve the standard of our u23 squad.

In the Champions League tonight Bayern gave a debut to Bright Akko Arrey-mbi who is 17. They signed him from the Wolves academy where he was on trial and played for our U18s

Another post brexit restriction will be that players can only be signed from the eu if they have international caps or are youth internationals. This puts them in the same category as signings from South America. They won’t get a work permit without that background. So the days of Wolves signing unheralded players and turning them into Premier League stars is over

Liverpool are on a record breaking run of 64 league games unbeaten at home. Could we be the team to bring that to an end. I think it’s stretching it to say it would be disappointing if we don’t, but they certainly look vulnerable defensively

What about their human rights. If they want to play here then they should be allowed to.
EU trying to rule the world again.
Anyway, the EU wont exist in ten years. ( IMO)

Britain voted for brexit partly to have more control over immigration and this is part of the consequences of that

Wolves have three games televised by Amazon Prime this month starting with the game at Anfield this weekend. If you want to watch those games for free then now is the time to sign up for a 1 month free trial of Prime. Won’t cost you anything as long as you cancel within one month

I have taken the subscription through Sky, costs £25 but you get a much better reception than through the net.

These restrictions have been known about for some time now and I suspect the club have been "stocking up" as much as possible in anticipation of this. However I suspect this will be unravelled at some point and there will be an exemption as part of some trade deal.

Raul's doctor has stated this morning that Raul will be OK to return to football with no problem.

posted on 2/12/20

Actually, not Raul's doctor then but Dr Gerardo Meraz, ESPN Specialist in Traumatology. Unless he has consulted with the doctors at the London hospital which is treating Raul, I fail to see how he could make such a positive statement. Let's hope he's right anyway.

isn't the point of brexit that the uk can set up its own work permit rules ?

How does the UK government and English FA adding a points based system for foreign players translate to the EU trying to rule the world?

ESPN have a specialist in traumatology? Sounds like click bait to me.

posted on 2/12/20

I would hope that Raul takes advice from neurologist, not some kind of sports trauma specialist. His health is the number one priority.

posted on 2/12/20

The media seem to be more concerned with David Luiz than Raul, which to be honest I havent got a problem with, but imagine if had been the other way round, there would have been 24/7 rolling news and speculation. Sometimes its good to be Wolves and fly under the radar a little.

posted on 2/12/20

I think the concern is that Luiz was allowed to continue playing. The medical team may have put his health at even more risk.

Jimenez got the treatment he needed immediately and there isn't really a question about whether more could be done in that regard.
