I think it’d have been postponed at the time anyway going by what St Mirren were allowing to happen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Without getting too 'handwringing' about it.
Do they have regard for risk to their staff (and who they interact with) at all?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
amazed people are sticking up for them. The car sharing one is ridiculous: wtf were they thinking?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
These same players are training together, tackling, marking each other, eating meals together but ooh they can't sit in a car together. Get a grip.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from eating all of those things are not indoors and/or are time limited.
A car is an enclosed environment and you a 'trapped' with others for a much longer period of time.
My employer has banned car sharing amongst other things....
yeah I've just read about what happened
poor from the 2 clubs, they've broken rules set by every club in the league and its resulted in games being called off and putting peoples health at risk
think I'm just upset that Hamilton have been given 3 pts
they wont go away

Depends how long the drive is / how long the meal is.
Shared dressing rooms, indoor gym sessions, physio sessions, indoor training.
It's mental imo you can do all that but you can't share a car but those are the rules no matter how ridiculous they are.
at the end of the day regardless of ridiculous you think they are the clubs all agreed not to do what was set out in the rules
and they have
so they've broken the rules which has caused games to be forfeited and put peoples health at risk
fully justified

You can manage social distancing in all of those areas through various methods.
You can't guarantee adherence to the two metre rule in a car for any length of journey.

You don't for one minute believe other clubs haven't broken social distancing in any of those situations?
Of course they will have, which is why punishing these clubs is too far imo.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So no Celtic/Rangers players have been closer than 2m together in the gym?
Of course they have.
These clubs are being punished for admitting it when it will be going on everywhere.
Lets not pretend you wouldn't have a the same view if Rangers were awarded 3 points because of St Mirren car sharing or Rangers fans wouldn't if Celtic were awarded them.

There will have been breaches - I'm sure.
What are the SPFL gonna do though when two clubs admit they've broken the rules?
They can't very well say, we'll let you off with it 'cos we're sure everybody else is doing it.
Lenny said the other day all the first team are spred out over the changing rooms so they can distance. You can be sure it's in the gym too.
theres also the fact no other clubs have had to forfeit any games because of player outbreaks
all rangers players get addicted to heroin and have to go to rehab.

"what's a good outcome tonight?"
Lennon getting the sack
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This
The difference for me is, have the club broken the rules or the players?
If it's the club themselves, in terms of arrangements, then they should lose points.
If the players have ignored the rules and don't what they want, regardless of what the club has said, then the clubs shouldn't be getting hammered like this.
i think we need to make peace with the fact that Lennon isn't getting the sack until the league is further out of reach.
by which point it will be too late of course, i say we need to make peace with it to sound reasonable but i won't be doing it, i'll be fuming about this till the day i die.
Surely this is the end of the road for Lurgan Flopp?
I think we have gone down a very dangerous path in handing out points deductions for this.
It sets a precedence that could cause all sorts of mayhem this season.
I think the SPFL need to be very clear going forward as to what constitutes a serious enough breach which will result in points deduction, what is a fine, what is just a ticking off etc.
It doesnt need to be exhaustively prescriptive - but say even if they published a three tier system with some examples of what would fall into each tier - then that would be a hell of a lot more than I have seen to date.
You are still open to challenge with regards specific events and what category they fall into but at least if the underlying principles behind each tier were laid out there is a reference point for reaching a decision.
If it left ambiguous then it could result in court cases if teams end up relegated because of this.
Or indeed if one team unexpectedly gets awarded the title when the previously dominant team mysteriously gets docked 9 points for running out of hand sanitiser gel at the training ground
If it left ambiguous then it could result in court cases if teams end up relegated because of this.
---------------------------------------
Maybe they're using this example to lay down a marker.
Any club silly enough to break the restrictions after this will deserve all they get....

In a nutshell.
Utterly ludicrous, isn't it? I mean just how bad a run of results and general non-performances would it take for him to get sacked? For Lenny to have suggested the other day that it was "one bad month" ... WTF?!! It's pretty much been ALL this season, and a fair chunk of last season in all honesty, with not a single player playing well this campaign. He'll "flick a switch" (as he also said) and all will be well though.
