Scholes, for me, as a Red and a Jock used to scare the pellets out of me when he played for United or England. He gave his all in every game I watched him play.
Pogba? He’s the kind of player that draws your attention, mainly because of his history, his cost, his medals. You expect more of and from him than most other players.
The result? Oh dear, who conned the Glazers into spending £89M on that donkey? Yes, he shows, now and again the odd stroke of brilliance, followed by “‘look at me, look how wonderful I am” while his teammates have to carry on fighting for their lives, they now being down to 10 men,the 11th gone missing into his own world.
To anyone who’s interested, read James Duckers column in today’s Telegraph. Absolutely 100% spot on for me about that waste of space.
