Yeah Deano stops at least one of those 3 goals
I'm not convinced he is gonna be our no 1 long term but we need a strong keeper and DDG is not it
DeGea’s decision to not go to ground is criminal but McGuire left him for dead. Facking £80 million defender blast the facking thing into row z. No, he decides to leave it like a punk.
But the 1st 2, I’m not gonna be as harsh on AWB.
It’s Shaw that starts the dominos crashing, by ball watching, and being out of position.
Mcguire decides to cover the runner in case of the slide rule pass, and I believe the pass was intended for the forward on Lindelof, but is nicely over hit, and it runs across to their wingback, cos AWB has decided to come inside to cover McGuire and help Lindelof.
2nd goal, Shaw again ball watching and not picking/ sensing danger, leaves Telles with a decision, and I believe he makes the right decision to cover Shaws man, but unfortunately it falls to their Wingback.
What is Shaw doing brain farting so early in the game, when we are the ones that should be in control?!
Game plan out the window, Ole should’ve changed the shape straight away and put Donny or Pogba on, for McT or Matic, but he leaves a 5 man Def and 2 CDMs, in a game we are chasing now.
Then to add insult, Ole’s hand is forced to play Pogba, who does well, and it hurts to see that, cos I’m sure he didn’t want to play him, but he had to be professional with it.
But yes, it’s time for Henderson to have a good crack now, DeGea’s shows weakness at the wrong time, I don’t get what type of keeper are you, shot stopping is amazing and great and all that, but you are a keeper for a reason. You can’t play outfield football. You are meant to be the last line of defence, the Bravest man on the pitch. The nutjob, that decided to become a goalie.
If he goes to ground throwing his body and hands down, he would’ve got something on of ball, but decides to go with his feet, and turn his body, like some weak ass fairy players do when someone is about to blast the ball at you. That wasn’t the case here, he turns his body making the goal so open and big that the forward couldn’t miss the target. That’s pathetic.
Who teaches that to a goalie. Throw your damn body into it.
I’m done.
He was a clown from day one.
Got away with poor decision making
It was always going to catch up with him. You just can't coach that issue out of a player - particularly in that position.
But if Henderson isn't good enough to have ousted him already, then he must be pretty damn ordinary, so he won't be the answer.
Think people are starting to see Maguire for the fraud he is.
Said it all along, De Gea is a great shot stopper if not one of the best on his day, average goalkeeper. Been a great player for the prem, lucky to have had him just for some of the saves. Time came to sell and you offered him new contract on silly wages 20 odd mill a year for 5/6 years.

Shaw hasn't played in a few weeks. Probably wasn't a good idea to throw him straight into this one.
Watching the highlights I'm not sure he could've done much for any of those goals. Maguire mugged him off for that 3rd goal

DDG deserves far more respect than he’s getting.
There’s a tough decision to make with Henderson but it’s bizarre how people are convinced that a young kid who had a great season with Sheff Utd is the answer, yet a keeper who has been world class and performed at the highest level for years isn’t.

Agree with this Winston hendo is decent but he’s not that good
Thaught DDG was poor last night and not just for the 3rd goal in which Maguire was equally at fault.
He distribution and communication was very poor in the 2nd half which played a part in the 3rd goal when really Maguire should have just kicked it onto row Z.
Have defended Dave this season against his detractors but the 2nd half last night he resembled the out of form low on confidence keeper that finished last season.
As for Henderson I dont see how you can say he's not that good yet until he actually gets a run of games.

Yeh, bags of potential but he's being held up as the messiah.
See it a lot with England.
Always a desire to bring in the untested youngsters as if they're guaranteed to be better. Bit odd.
The third goal was Lindelofs fault, farting around on the edge of the box giving away position needlessly.
Then you can point the finger at Maguire or DDG. The more I watch it, the more static DDG looks.
Yeh, bags of potential but he's being held up as the messiah.

Theres definitely been a campaign with some fans to have him replace Dave this season despite the fact that Dave has actually played well uptil now.
Last night I thought he was poor and regressed to the Dave weve seen in the last 2 seasons.
As for Henderson I think hes looked confident and assured in the few games hes featured. He can't do much more than that until he actually gets a run of games.

he probably does look static, because he probably expected his CB to clear it (and rightly so.. a sunday league CB would do it, let alone an 80 million quid one) and not allow it to run along the 6 yard box with no idea of whats behind him.
yes De Gea didnt do great, but anyone thinking he should ever have been put in that position in the first place clearly doesnt know the game ( and thats not aimed at you busby btw)

Of course, but we all need to accept that he is just a player with potential at this stage.
Anyone that is certain he will be a massive success is not being reasonable.
its like having a shiny new toy.
De Gea has hardly put a foot wrong this season, yet people have been calling for him since day one.
Its the same with TFM, people were desperate to see him oust some of the more experienced players because he was new and had a fancy name... and he is gash.

Yeah, Maguire should have cleared it.
But so should Lindelof, AWB should have defended the cross better, DDG should have been stronger.
4/5 defenders made mistakes for that goal. It simply isn't good enough.
The first two were also easily avoidable.

The defending yesterday was a mess. It was comfortably the worst defensive performance we’ve put in since Spurs.
I said it on the match thread, and say it again:
I never, ever, ever, for any reason whatsoever, want to see AWB play wingback ever again. Ever.
He just doesn’t know what he’s doing in the role, at all. His positioning is bad enough when he plays at FB, but at least then he has a much more limited space to work in whilst we’re without the ball. He had no clue yesterday. Just didn’t know how to deal with Angeliño at all, and it cost us two goals.
Ole is the reason we lost yesterday.
Him and our terrible defence.
Our strikers don't help either with their inconsistencies.
Yeah, Maguire should have cleared it.
But so should Lindelof, AWB should have defended the cross better, DDG should have been stronger.

Awb had a poor game but those types of things are standard procedure from Lindleoff and Maguire.
Why would your captain let a ball run across the 6 yard box?
Classic Lindleoff giving the ball away in dangerous areas.
Maguires interview after the game just shows you that he isn't up to the job. He is no captain and he is not good enough for us.

As for Henderson I think hes looked confident and assured in the few games hes featured. He can't do much more than that until he actually gets a run of games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course, but we all need to accept that he is just a player with potential at this stage.
Anyone that is certain he will be a massive success is not being reasonable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely
But he clearly was brought back from Sheffield as a potential successor to Dave. Whether he will or not, time and performances will only tell.

Yeh, tough call for the manager as Hendo won't wait forever.

The third goal was Lindelofs fault, farting around on the edge of the box giving away position needlessly.
Then you can point the finger at Maguire or DDG. The more I watch it, the more static DDG looks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he probably does look static, because he probably expected his CB to clear it (and rightly so.. a sunday league CB would do it, let alone an 80 million quid one) and not allow it to run along the 6 yard box with no idea of whats behind him.
yes De Gea didnt do great, but anyone thinking he should ever have been put in that position in the first place clearly doesnt know the game ( and thats not aimed at you busby btw)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, Maguire should have cleared it.
But so should Lindelof, AWB should have defended the cross better, DDG should have been stronger.
4/5 defenders made mistakes for that goal. It simply isn't good enough.
The first two were also easily avoidable.

its like having a shiny new toy.
De Gea has hardly put a foot wrong this season, yet people have been calling for him since day one.
Its the same with TFM, people were desperate to see him oust some of the more experienced players because he was new and had a fancy name... and he is gash.
the same with chong, and now Garner

And Rashford and Greenwood and McT.
