They applauded the anti racism stance held by the players, some people see the taking of the knee as entirely hollow and shallow gesture which when you look into the history of it is exactly what it is.

When Kapernick took a knee during the national anthem, the intention was not for people to kneel down for a minute before a football match...

Some also see taking the knee as a supporter of BLM who are connected with some pretty ridiculous happenings in the US (no police zones, deaths of police officers) so may boo that.

Some are just racist and will boo taking the knee because of that. But you'd therefore expect that bucket of people to boo what happened last night and not applaud?

Think if they are letting in supporters to the ground in the return game we should sing the internationale to get up their fascist noses.

Over the years Millwall supporters have been trying to wind up opposing fans. Taking Turkish flags to Leeds, singing that we burn our kids are just a couple of examples. There are a large number of Millwall fans who relish this notoriety.

They actually do care that nobody likes them, that is why they made up the crappiest excuse about not being racist and then come out with a fake show of none racism because players didn't take the knee. I don't think it fooled any fan who had ever been to see a game against Millwall. The club tries to do good work but the shaved chimps who follow them drag the club down to the level of their knuckles.

IMO no matter what colour or creed you are we all come together in sport. I don't like to see players taking the knee and for me it's political - and I don't want to see politics in sport. Personally I won't go to the stadium again (once it's open) until it stops. Even Les Ferdinand said recently "Taking the knee in support of Black Lives Matter 'will not bring change' "....

They were also a different 2,000 people to the ones there on Saturday as you can’t go twice yet.

I didn't know Les Ferdinand could predict the future. I do think it will lose its impact in a short while though. You should think about brave athletes like Colin Kaepernik who lost his career and was demonised by his own president. Why is taking the knee so offensive to you Terry? I don't know how old you are but did you stop going to Derby when fans were openly racist to black players? If so then taking the knee seems more offensive to you than the monkey chants at black players?

i'd never say Derby fans are angels but i can't remember any racist chants. I remember us being accused once but the song aimed at Paul Williams was "you fa* bas***d"

I can remember even in the 1960s, antisemitic songs about Mark Lazarus of QPR. It was all supposedly good natured, casual racism that was normal in those days. The victims of course were supposed to join in the fun.

It was worse when there were fewer black players, Clyde Best of West Ham used to get it from West Ham fans never mind the opposition. Forest had a black forward they affectionately called Kong. West Brom of course had the "three degrees". Coming back to Millwall they used to chant own goal when John Fashanu scored for them. If your own fans treated you like that what did they suffer from opposing fans.

No true Rams fana were as bad as any back in the day. I certainly remember a chant at West Brom in the late 70's.
It was certainly premeditated and involved Wille Johnson who had been sent home from the Scottish Squad in Argentina for a drugs offence and Cyrille Regis.

Racism in any form is just wrong but having been in the US for 3 and half years and witnessing what BLM stands for, I can understand why people are getting fed up of people taking the knee. Whilst BLM aren't quite as bad as ANTIFA, they do stir up hatred. The calls to defund the police will only lead to even more anarchy. If Black Lives Matter protested against all the black on black assaults, shootings and homicide in places like Chicago I'd have more empathy, but they don't. They just protest about black lives that have ended due to the police. The majority of those, like the police ending the lives of white people are justified by the acts of the foolish people whose lives are ended. Waving knives or guns at the police will have consequences. There are always going to be cases of injustices like George Floyd. It doesn't matter that he wasn't a particular nice person, he didn't deserve to die the way he did. There's is good and bad in every walks of life.

You sound like Donald Trump. A little fact, number of people killed by left wing "terrorists" in the US in the last 30 years is 2. Number of people killed by right wing "terrorists" (you know those fine people)in the last 30 years, over 400. However Antifa is the problem according to Trump.. Antifa were also considered a problem in Germany in the 1930s. Think you have lived too long in Kentucky, the place which votes in the old fascist tortoise in to the senate.

BLM is so political, I mean not wanting to be killed by the police is such a Marxist idea.

Dares a fine line when you try to fix one meaning for a word. Black people call other black people miggers. Jews call other jews kids. It's not always racial.
