Seems to me you either have fans allowed in across the board or you don't. There are now four teams who can have fans.

Liverpool, Everton, Southampton and Brighton.

Clearly these teams now have a distinct advantage in their home games, which has therefore created a situation that is not a level playing field.

This point will of course be made by every team who goes to these grounds, particularly if they get beat.

FA, as usual, taking a limp wristed position to something that is obviously not fair to everyone.

The different tier thing is pretty nonsensical in the uk anyway, it's a tiny feckin country. As for some regions allowing fans and others not, total bolloks as well

Yep, nonsense

The no fans thing is particularly nonsensical. 2000 socially distanced fans wearing masks outside is very low risk.

It feels this government often makes decisions on what they should be seen to be doing rather than the best option.

So cancelling fans at sports events looks like they're taking the right action but actually it will make very little difference to the spread of the virus.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything they do is for their own personal ratings, very little is for the good of the country. How can you not be allowed to social distance at a footie match, but can go and get your haircut, with zero social distance between you and the hairdresser, barber or whoever cuts your hair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I haven't been to the barbers for nearly a yearNice excuse to grow my hair long!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The last time I went a year without an haircut was late 1960s.

Yup, I have always thought it should be all or nothing. Clearly some clubs have home support is a massive advantage.

some clubs are probably relieved they can’t let their toxic fans in- such as arsenal.

In their case it is a disadvantage for the away team.

Nailed it.

The season is now just a tainted sham like last season, an unfair and unlevel playing field. A complete farce.

Wonder if Liverpool will go to tier 3

Highly doubt it, our infection rate is way below the national average.

If we’re lucky enough to go on and win the title this year, does that mean our achievement will be tainted and not really count just like a lot of people on here said of the scousers win last season? That’s quite spursy isn’t it.

It would be incredibly Spursy! I still desperately want us to win it though. The media would probably diminish our achievement in a way that they didn't at all with Liverpool.

Lets just get back to our normal lives, can't stay hostage to a virus forever. The vulnerable should shield. The more this goes on the more people will get impatient, depression rates will rise etc.

You can say that as many times as you want, but it simply won’t/can’t happen whilst the infection/death rate is so high.

How can anything get back to normal, when you have a virus rampaging through the population. It won`t be back to normal for a couple of years in my opinion.

Well if everyone has the vaccine by spring/summer then it should be a lot sooner than that. A couple of years seems excessive.

Frankly with views like that you can F off. I am in my 40s, and am in the vulnerable category. We have been treated as expendable by this Government recently after being imprisoned in our homes previously. We have as much right as anyone else to get back to a normal life. eejittts like you can F off with your thoughts that we should just be shut away so you can enjoy your partying lives. Jog on
