Burnley and their two games in hand could be disastrous
Yeah we really do need to take it seriously, doesn’t matter if we have a famous name, if we keep playing like this we could easily get relegated. Recently we’ve arguably worse team in the league. Have to get our act together
About 70% of this squad are relegation and championship level. It’s really no suprise we are struggling. It’s going to be a big summer and hopefully we can finally lose the deadwood and properly build again.
You won't get relegated. You have a better team than half of the league, you'll certainly stay up. I think you're more at risk of finishing in the bottom half and really struggling to then kick on in the summer though. It's one thing to be finishing 5th to 7th but it's whole different proposition for potential incoming players if you've finished 15th and have a largely disgruntled squad.
It's a tight league this year and a run of 3/4 games will have any team looking at the table very differently. That said, you have a really rough couple of weeks coming up and with your current form, it looks set to be a fairly miserable couple of weeks.
Leno, Gabriel, Partey and Aubamayang should be a good spine for any team. I really don't like calling out managers but I do think a different manager may well get more from your current team. Something Solskjaer has going his way is the players do look like they want to play for him and tend to get results if the pressure is really on. I don't see that from your lot for Arteta.
Shame, really tough job for him to have his first crack at. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but someone more experienced with Arteta as assistant, to then take over after 2/3 years would have been a good middle ground, assuming a manager would agree to that setup ans well as Arteta of course.
I honestly think you'll end up in the top 8, the league is that tight it only takes a few wins and you're in the top half. I've not been impressed with Utd and Ole has been getting some stick, but if Utd win their games in hand they could go top (depending on the results tonight). The league is all at sea.
No this team is not 70% relegation material lol we are experiencing a pretty dire drop in form, no one would deny. But let’s be honest, we are not getting relegated, a run of form in the new year and we are back in contention for Europa. There is still half a season left to play! Most def not getting too 4, don’t deserve it any way, but again, string a few wins together after January and we back in top ten. We are rebuilding, yea once again the perpetual rebuild, but Arteta is doing ok, let’s not sack every one we get in when it isn’t going brilliantly.
