Less than half way through the season and they were practically celebrating a treble. They never learn.
Very pleasing though
We have lost one match in 28 games in all competitions , Iv never heard a soul utter the words “invincible” well apart from Tims who band it about Willy nilly , no one has mentioned trebles either , our priority is 55 but we didn’t play well enough last night , that can happen , manager made a couple of mistakes but no one said a word about his team who should have won easily , st Mirren deserved their victory but a couple of them should have walk for shocking tackles and lunges that Alfredo would have been called up to see Clair white for , McGregor could have done more at their winner but these guys have been excellent for us for the past 27 matches we were never going to win every match we aren’t at that stage just yet

As a minimum, it means no treble and no invincible season. It showed some vulnerability as well.
It’s too early to read anything else into it really other than it was more than likely an off night for rangers.
Was still an enjoyable result though.

We had a junior guy on left back. He has been good in the few matches we have played him. Unfortunately he gave away a clumbsey penalty and lack of marking for 2nd.
We had too many guys off the pace, st Mirren wanted it more.
Then dreadful complacency at end to not see game out to extra time. Kamara normally so reliable gave ball away twice and no one marking back post.
It was a bad day at the office. It happens.
Midfield was poor, zunga , another new guy, result in not good service to itten. Another squad player.
On a positive note I think it's a good thing having less games. League cup means nothing.
We are still in Europe and highly likely to get past Antwerp and get some big glamour game after that.
Scottish cup will be starting soon.
League is no 1 priority
Scottish cup is 2nd
Europe 3rd.
We are well placed in all 3.
On another positive note. No more talk of trebles and invinciples. The squad will hopefully learn from this and kick on towards 2nd Jan now.
