Excess deaths for the year of 6,380 would suggest that it’s not only people who were ‘close to pegging oot’.
I’d suggest that using terminology like that is more than just insensitive to folk that have been directly affected by this.

Indeed it is. We lost a friend last month to covid who had been fit and healthy.
Another friend who was also fit and healthy and only 29 was hospitalised for over a month and has been left with permanent respitory damage.
But aye just people that were dying anyway
